One Month, No Payment, No Solution
Our experience with Coliving.com has been extremely frustrating. We have a guest who has been staying at our coliving for a month, and we still have not received the payment from Coliving.com. We contacted their support team several times to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, there is another major problem with their support system: the chat conversation keeps being refreshed, and the next support agent does not see the previous conversation. As a result, every time we contact support, we have to explain the entire situation from the beginning. We repeatedly provide the same information, explain the same problem, and wait for another agent to review the case — only to go through the same process again. The situation is particularly serious for a small coliving business. We have already provided accommodation and services to the guest for a month, while the payment is still unresolved. This creates a real cash-flow problem and can prevent us from accepting other guests. What is even more frustrating is that the proposed solution was to use PayPal. However, we do not have PayPal, and as a legally operating business in Georgia, we need to receive our business payments into our Georgian bank account. We expected a platform connecting colivings and guests to have a reliable and transparent payment system and proper customer support. At this point, after a month of waiting, we still have no payment and no clear solution. We hope Coliving.com will finally address this issue and provide a practical solution for businesses operating in Georgia. Update for 01/10/26 Thank you for the clarification. However, we believe there is still an important point that needs to be addressed. Having the funds credited to a Coliving.com wallet does not mean that the funds are actually available to our business. From the perspective of a small coliving business, the payment is received only when we can transfer it to our Georgian business bank account and use it for our operations. In our case, the funds were effectively unavailable to us until we opened a PayPal account and went through the process of setting up an alternative payout method. PayPal is not a convenient or preferred payment solution for our business, especially when we already have a Georgian business bank account. We also believe this is important information that should be communicated before a property joins the platform. If Coliving.com cannot transfer payouts directly to a Georgian business bank account, this should be clearly stated during the onboarding process, along with the available payout methods for businesses in Georgia. Ideally, hosts should also be asked which payout methods are suitable for them before listing their property. For a small coliving business, the ability to actually receive the money is not a minor technical detail — it is a fundamental part of working with a booking platform. We appreciate that the funds were credited to our Coliving.com wallet promptly. However, the fact that they appeared in the wallet did not solve the actual payout problem. We hope Coliving.com will take this feedback into account and make the available payout options and country-specific limitations much clearer for future hosts.
Response from Coliving.comSep 30, 2026
Thank you for sharing your experience. We understand how important timely payouts are for a small coliving business, and we’d like to clarify what happened in this case. The payment for the guest’s stay was already credited to your Coliving.com wallet within 24 hours of the guest’s move-in date. The payment itself was therefore not being held or delayed on our side. The remaining issue was that there was no available payout method set up that could process the funds to your business bank account. Payout availability depends on the payment providers and the currencies and countries they support. Unfortunately, the availability of currencies and payout options through Stripe and Hyperwallet is outside of our control. This is also why we suggested PayPal as an alternative payout method. We completely understand that PayPal may not be a suitable option for your business, particularly when you need to receive payments directly into a Georgian business bank account. We appreciate your feedback regarding the available payout options and understand the importance of having a solution that works for businesses operating in Georgia. We hope this clarification helps explain the situation: the funds were credited to your Coliving.com wallet shortly after the guest’s arrival; the outstanding issue was the availability of a suitable payout method. -The Coliving.com Support Team
