I would highly advise against going on a carnival cruise. Especially if you think you might need to cancel. Me and my fiancé were going on the Carnival Elation in January 2020. We had to cancel due to me finding out I was pregnant and that being too close to the due date. I called Carnival to cancel and they told me I would receive a refund of everything we paid except the deposit. Okay, great that is fine. We expected to not get the deposit back, but all least the rest of it that we had paid. We waited and waited on the refund, and we never received it. I was back and forth with the cruise line at least 20 times on the phone about where is the money. They could not help me at all. Bad customer service. I will NEVER cruise with them again, nor would I ever recommend them to anyone. Thanks a lot Carnival, you all suck! -one very angry frequent customer.

I cancelled my Reservation do to the Coronavirus because some of my guests are from China. I want to know if I can get the refund back of $509 for Booking # 9MPV48 and $759 for Booking # 9MPV49. The sailing day is April 11, 2020.

I was scheduled to take a cruise on Elation on February 3rd. Due to a serious bout of the flu,I decided it wouldn't be advantageous for myself and others on board to take the trip. I called Carnival and was advised that I write a review to inquire if anything could be done to compensate my loss. This would have been my second cruise and was looking forward to a great time. Needless to say ,it was disappointing to have to miss it. My booking number 8XGJ12. Thanks for your attention in this matter.

My Family and I booked a christmas cruise from 12-23-19 to 12-27-19. Departing from long Beach California, well on 12/23/19 driving to long Beach from Las Vegas,Nv,We ran into bad weather which made us miss the Cruise,However 2 of our family members did make the cruise,and we was talking to cruise while on our way and the cruise did inform my family that was on the cruise that they would extended a 30 min grace,well we made it within that time and still was denied to board ship. so we contacted carnival the next day and was informed if we met the ship on 12-25-29 in Enspenda Mexico that we can board then and we also let them know at that time that only 2 family members had passports an the other 2 did not,and we still was told we can board, Well we did go to mexico on 12-25-19, only the 2 that have passports was able to get on ship and the other 2 was not. I am writing this review because I fully understand that if I miss the ship because of our lateness,then I could understand but unfortunally have no control over weather ,and your crew told us we could board ship and also went to mexico and still didnt get on,We have paid expenses that was not planned,4 nights in hotel,4 days of meals and rental car,At this point I am asking carnival to at least refund trip or replace with another cruise, I have also spoken to alot of employees from your company and still have not resolved this, I do Thank you for your time and cooparation on this Matter.

After 7 cruises I guess a review is in order. My first cruise was fabulous. My last cruise was fabulous. All the cruises in between were fabulous. Only one complaint I have ever had. I got sick on the last day of my 5th cruise. I don't know if it was the food or a person but both the wife and I were miserable. My one grand praise? Once you arrive the stress falls completely off and I can forget about everything for a little while. A fat stogie, good drinks and wonderful conversation makes for a grand time. Also the entertainment aint half bad.

My wife and I took a Carnival Freedom cruise in November. We took our daughter and her husband with us as a gift for her 50th birthday! Cabin facilities were satisfactory, our steward was terrific - perhaps the best we have had. My only dissatisfaction came from the foods. I am not a picky eater, but a couple of the dishes were not up to Carnival standards. The selections available were more limited than we have enjoyed in the past! The fried shrimp were hideous, as were the escargot. On the bright side the lamb shanks were marvelous! The rating procedures were difficult to navigate, and the submission means was so convoluted I have to wonder whether my assessment ever went through. Make it user friendly please!

So first of all, this was my first cruise and although I was not a huge fan of cruising, I will leave an outstanding review. We got into out cruise on time, we were given the chance to upgrade the room with a balcony, which we took. Boarding was easy and we had our bedroom pretty quickly. Now, I personally was really bored at the ship, I felt like their pools were too small and in general I did not like cruising. On our last night fog started covering Galveston and the port was closed, and this is were my good review starts. Carnival kept us entertained, provided food, gave us hourly updates and it was an amazing customer service. We finally arrived several hours later and Carnival offered to people who had lost their flights or had to drive long distances, to be able to stay. I would love to see half of this customer service with any airline... So yes, although cruising is not for me, I have to say that Carnival had an amazing way of keeping everyone as happy as possible and made us feel like we were important customers, and that is why I am giving 5 stars to their service!
