Carnival Cruise Line Leads Cruise Industry with the Most Sexual Assaults By Jim Walker on December 4, 2019 POSTED IN SEXUAL ASSAULT Cruise ships reportedly experienced an “unprecedented crime wave” this summer, with 35 sexual assaults involving 27 passengers. The majority of such sexual crimes occurred on Carnival Cruise Line ships, according to the New York Post which reviewed the U.S. Department of Transportation’s latest cruise crime statistical compilation published last week. Carnival Cruise Line has More Sexual Assaults than any other Cruise Line with a Comparable Fleet When compared to Royal Caribbean, the only other cruise line with a comparable sized fleet, Carnival Cruise Line led the cruise industry in sexual assaults against passengers. According to the DOT cruise crime statistics the breakdown of sexual assaults for the last quarter is as follows: Carnival: 20 sexual assault victims (17 passengers).

Cruise Insurance is a SCAM! We had booked 4 cabins for a Mexican Cruise in July (Panorama), and then I got COVID really bad right before the trip. We all had to cancel. Carnival let us know we'd be reimbursed for all costs, and we had purchased their travel insurance. Well, after 85 days of endless phone calls to Carnival and AON (insurance) claims, escalating as much as possible, I've learned they just send $250 checks to each person and don't even look at the paperwork or anything else until after we file appeals to each claim. They are super busy and keep telling us to wait 30 more days. It's ridiculous!! So not worth the headache. I was so looking forward to a cruise with the family, but I'm not doing that with these people if I ever try again!!!

Decided to go on my first ever cruise with my daughter.Unfortunately having paid a £500 deposit circumstances changed. As the cruise is a year away all i wanted to do was to take a cruise a week or so later,at a time they could accomodate us.Being a frequent traveller i have found coming out of the pandemic everybody in the hotel, airline business is only too pleased to help if they can and start building a relationship. This lot are the complete opposite.I wanted another cruise, transfer the deposit(less an admin charge if you are greedy) and i will pay you the balance.I spent 2 hours over a 48 hour period telephoning a Miami customer service number that NOBODY ever answers.Eventually stumbled on to a UK number which was answered. The gentleman that answered listened, understood and said he didn't see a problem. He tried to transfer the deposit to the next cruise but said the system wouldn't let him.He said he would deal with it internally and get back to me by email. That was July!!!!His computer must be broken eh??If you want a laugh go on Facebook where there is a Carnival Cruise Line Chats Tips and Fun Page. They pretend it is run by Joe public but put any critical post on,no matter how honest and you are banned immediately.Sounds a bit desperate to me.Either way they have lost a new customer plus family plus friends.I hope they are busy and don't need me.I am waiting to be asked for the balance

I would not take the cruise again. It started off with waiting 4-5 hours just to get onto the ship. We were waiting hours past our boarding time in 88 degrees +, we had watched a couple people collapse from getting too hot. We had kids with us who got sick from being in the sun for hours on end, they didn’t offer water or shade while we were standing there in the heat either. To do anything on the cruise there was always a line we had to wait in, usually always around 20-30 minutes. The food gave us food poisoning and one of our kids got mold in their jello. Our refrigerator didn’t work in our room and their resolution was to just give us a bucket of ice to put in the fridge for the whole week. We had multiple crew members be absolutely rude to us. The only thing good about the cruise is the casino. That is the one thing we enjoyed.

Food is horrible, I’ve had better continental breakfast from a super 8 hotel! If you want to do any of the activities you may as well pack a lawn chair because you’ll be waiting in line. We waited over 3 hours in the heat to get on the ship past our boarding time. The rooms are tiny, bathrooms are tiny, our fridge didn’t work. Overall not worth it, the actives make it seem like fun but the lines for everything ruin it.

Hello, we were scheduled to sail on Carnival Dream September 24,2022. Booking# C8X9V9 we were in route to Port from Desoto Texas and was listening to the weather reports on the tracking of Hurricane Ian, which was on the same path as our Eastern Caribbean Cruise was to go!! The anxiety built up and we made the decision to turn around after driving all the way to Houston Texas {appx.252 miles each way} I would like to have a future Cruise Credit Issued for our 8-day Eastern Caribbean Cruise. that we were looking forward to going on, we take a Cruise every year at this time for my Husband Birthday and have never had this issue. Thanks for your consideration.

I was scheduled to sail on the Carnival Valor on September 29, 2022. My booking number was Z54ZG0. Unfortunately, my granddaughter, who was sailing with me, was injured in a car wreck. I would like to have my penalty waived and have it applied as future cruise credit.

Here is your review: We are diamond club members and had many cruises with Royal Caribbean. On our seven days cruise on 8/28/22, the built-in numbered lock on our original old timer hard shell 31" Samsonite was broken and wouldn't open. The ship maintenance ( 3 men) tried to open it and broke the lock. They wrote the report to the Senior Guest Officer. The built-in lock can not be replaced, and the suitcase can not be locked anymore. The Senior Guest Service officer promised to refund our Visa $200. We signed the form. We didn't know we suppose to get a copy of the document, and we were NOT given one. $200 was never refunded. Royal Caribbean said that the Senior Guest Service officer did not type in the report about the $200 refund, and they will not compensate us or give a credit for our November 11 days cruise. Now we understand why he didn't give us the copy! We are very disappointed with Royal Caribbean's attitude toward the Diamond Club members. A/C in the cabin didn't work, so we kept the balcony door open. A/C should be checked before a new guest arrives. The bartenders at the end of the ship couldn't understand our English, and we couldn't understand their English. The buffet on the 16th floor had nice cooked minute steak, but 50% of it was not eatable meat. The bathroom doesn't have an exhaust fan. The electric triple outlet on the main table is too narrow, and we could plug in only two devices. Also, we purchased a polished sea shell. The ship security said that any sea shell was an illegal item and took it from us. We were so disappointed that we reserved our next 11 days cruise for November 2022 with another cruise line instead of Royal Caribbean. Our January 2023 and all future cruises will not be with the Royal Caribbean. cruisecritic.com. refused to publish the review! They said it has vulgarity. Does it?!
