If I could, I'd give NO STARS. Synchrony Bank who is behind Care Credit is AWFUL. They don't know anything about the promotion I received in the mail via a post card. I had to talk to 5 different people & FINALLY the 5th associate knew what was going on. I really despise working with this company when I have to call them. Other than that, using the card is fine.

I have used Care Credit for many years to pay for my pets vet bills. I have always paid on time. I have never accrued any interest due to paying in the alloted time restrictions. I owed 0 had $5K of useable credit. I took my elderly 13 yoa boxer mix to the vet today. I was very stressed out due to my dogs illness. I went to pay the bill on my Care Credit card and it was declined. Upon further research it was determined that I used the wrong card even though the card used showed an exp. date of 7/28. I did find another card that I did not realize I had. I gave the the vet receptionist the new card and Care Credit had already flagged it as fraudulent. I was on the phone for over 2 hours at the vets office trying to get it straightened out so their office could be paid for the $402.00 bill owed to them. I was told I would have to wait 48 hours before the vet office could be paid. I ended up having to put the charge on another credit card I did not want to use. Customer service at Credit Care is beyond sub standard. I was beyond being stressed out with my sick dog and then going through 2 hours of hell trying to get the bill paid was beyond any customer service experience I have ever encountered in my life. I am 70 yoa. I work in customer service. Care Credit do better. This experience made a traumatic situation 100 times more stressful. Through no fault on my behalf.

i had been using care credit for dental procedures mostly and one vet trip for my cat.in 03/2023 they fiananced a dental procedure i desperalty needed and do not have dental insurance or the funds to cover it at the time.i owed 3500 and i was making big payments month to month interest free.they never send me a notice the my 18 months were up when i could have paid off my balance of about 275 in november.what they did instead is charge me over 700 in interest .i cried for hours because i am on a tight budget and was happy to pay off this card soon.the customer service agent was so rude,no empathy whatsoever treated me less than human.never again but im so sad that now i have to keep paying it when i was almost done.im gonna try to pay it off as fast as i can and never use it again.ive warned my coworkerd family and friends about them.they are the worst.

Be wary of their "promotional offers". When you use a special financing offer - like 24 or 36 months no interest - you can't charge anything else on the card. If you do, your payments don't go toward the special financing offer, even though that was the earlier charge. Your payments get spread over the entire balance and if you aren't careful, you wind up with a hefty interest charge at the end of the special offer period. Due to this predatory business practice, we will be cancelling our Care Credit card as soon as possible. We've used these XX months same as cash offers with other companies and never had this problem.

This is a horrible company. They offer 6 and 12 month promotions at zero percent interest. If you pay it off in full before the expiration date, you don't get charged interest. I have always paid off my promotional balances well before the expiration date but they keep allocating my payments incorrectly and I have to call them numerous times to get the payments properly allocated. Everytime you call there, a different person tells you a different story or set of rules. I have had a couple of nice supervisors on the phone but tonight I had the most arrogant condescending argumentative account manager, Hector. He was obnoxious and claimed that the prior supervisor gave me misinformation. He told me that he is a higher level than a supervisor so what he says it the correct information (according to him). This company does fraudulent practices. Tonight Hector said that you can not have your payments allocated to a specific balance. It has to go to their back office and takes 1 to 2 billing cycles and that there is no such thing as same day allocation (even though prior supervisors told me that there is). When I questioned why it takes so long to have my payments posted properly, he said that they are a very big company with tens of thousands of customers and that they only have one small department or back office that does these allocations so it takes time. That is the most absurd thing I heard tonight. I have been fighting with them for over a year now. I monitor this account like a hawk and make sure that I am making payments early and clear out the promotions well before the expiration dates but they keep posting my payments incorrectly. And recently, they ADDED an amount of a payment I made to the balance instead of doing it as a credit. In other words, they increased the amount of the promotion by mistake. I was told by a supervisor there last week that this is not supposed to happen and a big no-no there. Well tonight Hector claimed that in the decade he has been working there this has never happened and he kept arguing with me that this does not happen. He claimed this without even looking at my account. They added a payment to the promotional balance two months ago and so even with their bizarre 1 to 2 billing cycles requirement to make corrections, they can't even complete that correction within their own stated time frame. This is the most dishonest credit card company I have ever used. And they have the nerve to send me a regular mastercard and try to lure me into getting a regular credit card through them. Really ? No thanks. When I have talked to agents on the phone (mostly supervisors at this point) then keep trying to talk me into activating this credit card so I can use it not just for medical purchased but also for regular purchases. This is a predatory company and dishonest. They obviously train their employees to use dishonest tactics to rack up interest charges to customers who are paying off their promotions early and in full. Don't use them. They are horrible ! And don't deal with Hector. He is the worst person there that I have dealt with. At least the prior representatives were nice and tried to be helpful, even if they gave misinformation. This guy was rude and arrogant.

CareCredit is hands down the worst financial service I’ve ever dealt with. Their deceptive practices and complete disregard for customer care are appalling. They lure you in with their "promotional" 0% interest offers, only to hit you with a jaw-dropping 29.99% APR the moment the promo ends—WITHOUT ANY NOTIFICATION. I never received a single email, letter, or notification reminding me that the promotional period was ending. Not one. It’s a sneaky, unethical tactic to trap customers into paying outrageous interest fees. When I realized what happened and called their customer service to dispute the charges, I was met with rude, unhelpful representatives who couldn’t care less about the situation. I explained that I would happily pay the principal balance immediately if they waived the interest, especially since I wasn’t properly notified. Their response? A flat-out NO, with zero willingness to accommodate a long-standing customer. Even when I escalated the issue, I was stonewalled. It’s clear CareCredit doesn’t value their customers—they only care about squeezing every penny out of them with shady practices. Beware of their predatory financing schemes. If you’re considering CareCredit, RUN. There are plenty of honest companies out there who treat their customers with fairness and transparency—CareCredit is NOT one of them. People use them because they can't afford a hefty medical bill, so to charge such high interest without warning the card user is predatory. They're keeping poor people in debt.

In all my years on social media, I've never felt the need to voice a complaint—until now. I want to share some important information for anyone considering CareCredit. If you don’t pay off your balance within the promotional period, be prepared for a staggering interest rate that could leave you feeling overwhelmed. After spending nearly a month away in Augusta and Vidalia, I was unable to access my mail and unfortunately missed the cutoff by three weeks. A transaction that started at $10,000 two years ago, which I had diligently paid down to about $900, suddenly ballooned to a new balance of $6,678 once the promotional period ended. That’s how much interest was added. Please think carefully before using this service.
