I've used Care.com to find babysitters, nannies and even an ipad tutor for my 90 year old grandmother. If you have the time and inclination to put for the effort to review, interview and run background checks on the best candidates, this is the site for you.

My husband is a travel nurse so we have lived in 5 states in 3 years. We have used care.com to find reliable and trustworthy babysitters for our daughter. We still keep in touch with most of them even after we move. Great Reputable Tool for our family.....we have peace of mind using Care for our kid!!!!

I hired house cleaners?..3 out of 5were excellent.... The other two ought not have the job. I did get one free hour for two ou-ght nots, the other three were totally superb didn't mind paying at all. P.s. you pay weather they work or not, which I feel one ought not pay until after the fact. Because those two got paid and I swear, had I of got pay, here at my home, I would have asked Booth of them to leave within the first hour. One did a few dishes then was on her phone thee remainder of the 2 hours I paid,for dishes took all of 10minuuets?.........incredible!!!!! As I said two would not have jobs and should they if I should call on care.com again, either one show up again I will not Even open my door!! I am disabled so couldn't

Care.com has been a life savior! Their website and process is easy to use and intuitive. We were able to find THE perfect babysitter for our daughter and still rely on her weekly.

I have been pretty happy with Care.com although I would suggest members that do not respond within a couple days should be warned and deactivate their account if they don't respond to multiple people.

I requested a background check for a nanny and the data was incomplete I was charged $60 for just her DL# which I received personally from the nanny when I asked for her DL. What I thought I was going to receive was a thorough report of her driving record. They couldn't even verify her address. For $60 I expected much more. I asked for a refund but their policy is strict no refunds they said my report was run and that's what I paid for. Awful. I could not locate a member services number without going through the web first and then received robotic script responses from their member services team overseas. They responded after I tweeted them but same scenario and script responses. Very awful experience. Care.com remember this its how you ended up making the person feel after the experience that will have a lasting impact.

I signed up for a one year "subscription". I did NOT renew, but it was renewed automatically. When I wrote to request my money back, I was IGNORED!!!!

Set up interviews with five or six people - three showed up - one turned around and left immediately! One of the remaining two looked promising - very professional and knowledgeable, until we heard her price! She wanted $25 per day to come in once a day and put down food for our two indoor cats and clean the litter box every other day! The last person to come was a 15 year old student who was knowledgeable and seemed to love cats. She had her mother drive her and asked for $10 per day. We laid out exactly what we needed and left her the house keys AND paid her in advance with a $5 tip since she was leaving for the Cape on the day we were returning. WE CAME HOME TO A DISASTER! She had left all the empty cans of cat food in my kitchen sink! She cleaned out the cat box and left the open plastic bag sitting on my stove!!! I GUESS HER MOTHER STILL CLEANS UP AFTER HER AT HOME!!!
