"You have a message from..." is a lie No, you don't have a message from... The care.com bot just copy-pasted the general intro text from someone and sent it to you as a message. The person probably didn't even log in to the site the last few weeks. This is a scam if you ask me. Don't spend your money. 2 stars because there was no issue with the refund. That's something, right?

Disaster. Housekeeper stole all my Jewelry and some clothing.

Having paid for membership off and on for over 8 years I can speak from a variety of personal experiences. NO - you cannot communicate with anyone unless you or they have a paid membership. NO - You cannot post both as a 'provider' and someone seeking a service - UNLESS you pay for 2 separate accounts. NO - they do nothing to 'vet' jobs or 'workers'. NO - they do not make it easy to stop paying for your 'premium' membership - and will continue to charge your account unless you find the obscurely placed information to make them stop. NO - They do not allow you to send an easy to read, well formatted response which highlights your experience and capabilities to those seeking 'assistance'. Everything is jumbled into a block paragraph making you look like an ignorant fool who can't appropriately apply for employment. NO - They will not allow you to accurately update your information if their word count has diminished from 2500 to 500 words. In 8 yrs and out of approximately 75 responses to requests for care, I have received MAYBE 8 messages back. I went to interviews with people who were OBVIOUSLY not serious about hiring someone as well as driving over 20 miles to speak with someone whose 'ad' suggested they were within 10 miles. (once the connection and communication was successful - follow through was done out of integrity) Notifications most often received are from commercial companies who charge their clients $35-$40/hr and pay you $12- 15. NO - I do NOT recommend this company, UNLESS you have nothing better to do than spend your money and invest your time in well thought out responses to 'jobs' which may not even exist. *EDIT - My services were well appreciated by those who DID hire me - one for a full year and another until the gentleman needed to be moved to a full-time assistance home. I have positive reviews on the site and AM a reliable, caring. competent and intelligent caregiver. (not just a disgruntled somebody complaining)

Seriously people, does anyone watch 'The Checkout'. Understand your rights as consumers and their responsibilities as service providers. If you think you are being scammed then contact Consumer Affairs. You all have a right to be provided with a transparent and reasonable service for your money.

Care.com is very deceptive and works on an individuals need for short term services. They make it impossible to cancel your membership meanwhile continue to charge your credit card for services you didn’t sign up for. The quality of care on the site is is a small percentage that you would want to hire to care for your children. I will NEVER go through that site again. Their customer service is horrendous.

Ik merkte meteen na het aanmelden dat de dienst niet klopte, stom van me dat ik me heb aangemeld voor een premium account. Ik heb geprobeerd de dienst op te zeggen maar ik zie niet hoe dit gebeurd is. Hele slechte website met fake profielen. Jullie gaan dit account verwijderen en geen geld meer afschrijven, anders haal ik een tv programma erbij die dit haarfijn gaat uitzoeken waarbij daarnaast alle gedupeerden een gezamelijke rechtszaak kunnen starten tegen jullie met behulp van dit tv programma.

If I could give it no stars I would this website is useless, i have had an account with them for nearly a year and never received any feedback with regards to extra cleaning work Personality I think it's a scam to get you to update your membership for them to make more money with out you getting any benefits from it would definitely not recommend using this site
