I am an employer that has hired childcare from care.com for years on and off. I recently had a childcare provider that I hired for a date night eat our food, sit on her phone ignoring our child and then get rough and irritated with her when she cried. I freaked out seeing this on nannie cam and we rushed home having to take our newly arrived dinner home. We paid her and asked her to leave our house immediately. When I went to log on to care.com three days later my profile had been deleted. They wont answer phone and send a prefilled email back when I questioned why and told them what had happened. It is there policy to suspend any account for any reason. This is BAD for those seeking to hire caregivers bc obviously this caregiver contacted them immediately and lied about me so she wouldn't get a negative review. Shame on care.com for not looking out for children in this way.

I downgraded my account and was still charged. When I complained they said policy is to not refund money

The app is not user friendly, the send arrow is hidden in chat when you are trying to send messages to applicants, the people who applied to the job were very slow in communicating when they did, unreliable for interview appointments, and some were downright rude and questionable as far as ethnics are concerned, I had to decline several applicants due to being Undependable with keeping their word, 3 no call no show for interviews which they picked the day and time, and then Care.com cancelled the account with no explanation

Care.com app cancellation policy is a huge pain. My account was linked to iTunes and Apple charged my account after cancellation. Care.com defers to Apple and Apple refuses to refund. I was reluctant to use care.com because after doing a background check on a caregiver 7 years ago via care.com the girl I hired did indeed have a criminal record. I only found out because she didn’t show up for work because she was in jail.

As a 20 year healthcare employee, I find care.com to be woefully inadequate as a business. Website is very difficult to maneuver for both families and care providers. They constantly ask for upgrades, trying to get you to spend more money. They make cancelling so difficult so they can keep auto charging. Received no inquiries at all after 60 days-nada. Please don’t waste your hard earned dollars on this scam.

Horrible experience! They engage in deceptive business practices. They will charge you for reoccurring services when you want only one time payment. You cannot see payments under your account info, I also couldn't close/remove my ad when desired even though it says you can on the website. They don't display their phone number on website. I had to call my credit card company to get their number. So much more I could say...just stay away-you've been warned.

I signed up for work near my home as housekeeper and nanny. Many of the job listings were old and I didn't recieve any job offers. So I want to cancel my subscription after only 4 days. They will not give me a refund. I didn't use any free background check only the messages features which I never even got a response for job offers. I'm very disappointed because I paid money to make money. And didn't even recieve a job and no refund. Thanks care.com you really show what you care about
