I have used Care.com as a Provider since their inception. Yes, they have grown into a much larger company and have some issues. Hopefully they will address the scammer issues and get more technical support/re- vamp the site with new programming etc. which in my opinion somehow needs to be updated to handle how successful they have become. My only complaint was that in order to get a back ground check, I was told to completely void my profile and create a new one due to moving. This had never been required before. There are good and not so good providers that use this site. When seeking someone myself for help with my Father, I recognized someone on the site who I knew to be a terrible CNA who was on the staff where my Mother was in a Nursing Home. I have experienced both wonderful people through this site and extremely difficult clients that no one would stay and help. All in all, it is a good source for commerce. I saw a review that providers do not respond to messages. In my case, those seeking providers, 90% of the time do not acknowledge an application...or follow up on communications. Online anything should always be tempered with care. Care.com customer service has always come through for me.

I also got scammed into joining a free trial membership. Didn't get any responses. And when i tried to cancel online (seems obvious for a dot com company), they don't give you the option to cancel. I had call in and hold for several minutes to cancel via a live agent. Ugh!!

Utter thieves. Like so many companies they rely on scamming you with a lure of a three month gold subscription (I paid £70) without which you can't read any messages. But the catch is that in the small print they are actually signing you up to a perpetual membership at £70 every three months through a continuous payment authority on your card or account (which you can't see under direct debits or standing orders in your statements). I have been fleeced for nearly £500 that I didn't agree to pay nor did I use their service beyond the first three months. There is lots of scrutiny about these scams (called subscription traps) across the EU. I have asked them nicely to refund me - guess what not a chance. They are hanging on to my money and hiding behind the small print to keep misleading the consumer. They don't even have the guts to just say they want you sign up for ever. You can try to seek recourse via your bank or credit card company and if needs be the financial ombudsman.

Jeg har opsagt mit abonnement flere gange uden HELD. Meld Jer ALDRIG på denne side. Nu må jeg lukke mit VISA kort grundet Care.com stadigvæk trækker beløb og INTET hørt fra dem trods ønske om basis-medlem og afslutning af abonnement flere gange! Det er ren tyveri.

Total waste of time.

Awful company with awful "policies". They automatically enroll you into a month to month subscription, even though you only pay for one month. Then, when you go to get a refund, they say they have a "strict no refund policy". Stay away. They're trash.

Why are your ads on tv shows a Hispanic women as a maid r a housekeeper and a black girl as a errand run and a white women as a tutor ??? I feel like who ever made the ads on tv r racist making it seem like the white people cant be maids too

I found a scam profile that didn’t want to give me more details about the job offer or even appear in an interview by video call, then I refused the job and the scam made me a bad slanderous review in my profile which is harming me with other job offers. I complained to the customer service and sent all the screenshots of my conversion with that profile which clearly shows how fake are that accusations about me. The rubbish customer service kept defending that profile for whatever hell reason even with all the proofs and now people are refusing my applications because of that bad review. And you guys know very well how many scams this website has. Later on they blocked me on Facebook and cancelled my account on the website to avoid me of making complains. Funny that they had time to cancel my account but the hundred scammers accounts still there. Total waste of time! It’s not a serious and trustworthy website! Don’t subscribe on it!
