Please do not make the mistake of signing up for this service !
I had zero luck finding a caregiver after signing up for a premium service. Everyone I was interested in was unavailable even tho their profiles stated otherwise. The only person available had multiple negative reviews. THEN they charged me twice because it was on autopay. When I tried to get a refund for the second month there’s no way to contact a person!! It was through chat where they told me that they were strict about giving refunds and they didn’t have a phone number for customer service! SO IM OUT $80 and never found a single caregiver through this service. Do not waste your time! Find caregivers through word of mouth or Facebook.

Horrible company
Horrible company. If you're an idiot like me and you decided to pay extra for the premium membership, you'll regret it. I regreted it immediately when I saw that there were ZERO careseekers within 20km of my location (I've used this service in the past when I lived in more of a "Hot spot" area I guess. Let's just say I got major buyer's remorse this time and I wanted to cancel one day after I subscribed. It states in their Terms and Conditions that you have 7 days to cancel a premium subscription but they wouldn't honor it! A bunch of scam artists for sure. Funny thing is, you can't interact with people looking for care if one of you hasn't purchased the premium membership. It's a total scam. Don't waste your time or your money. You have been warned!!!

Calling the BBB!!!
I will be calling the BBB! Just outright fraudulent!! Took my 3 month subscription money. Reached out 3 times to potential housekeepers.
They never got in touch with me! Now they say it's not their fault and my $ will NOT be refunded(said it was in the subscription,no refunds)!! Judging by the reviews, I'm certainly not the only person scammed! How can they advertise on TV and FB, and get away with this so-called business!! How stupid do I feel!!!!

Programma Radar? Aangifte doen?

Normally I don’t write reviews
As of today April 2021 care.com is the biggest scamming app website for job seekers.
Consider yourself warned. After you pay for your membership, say goodbye to your account within 2 to 3 weeks they will shut down your account for no given reason or any answers why, before I decided to join I did read the review before Ive should listened, mistake I made I ignored the reviews, But if you ever end up in that situation forget about Customer service they will never give you your money , thieves and scammers , reach out to your bank and they will get you your money back. That’s how I got my money back . Their customer service is horrible they don’t care about you whatsoever, they’re just there to collect and steal your money.
I joined other apps where I’ve been with them for a while and I never encountered any problem their customer service was amazing the opposite of care.com biggest scammers.

Covid economic rebound disrupting supply of childcare professionals, while care.com lacks customer service support
I am having an ongoing terrible experience with care.com.
First, I think it's important to raise awareness on how the internet has modernized so online users have a full understanding as to what the present and future looks like using the internet.
Too many companies have automated labor because as a business owner they are concerned with overhead. Keeping overhead low increases profitability. Thus, having automated systems where bots are answering your questions, and minimizing a live employee base is the cheapest solution to "customer service". This model is based on thoughts that by having an automated system, every problem a customer could possibly have can be streamlined. So "Service" becomes a FAQ section on a website.
The care.com website is a great example of this - it's completely automated and customer "support" is extremely lacking.
While I am speaking generally, the problems I have faced in the last 90 days are paramount.
1 - login is based on each device being "registered and known" by their system. I took my computer and cellphone on vacation and couldn't login to my account to find childcare, no matter how many times I reset my password. The system failed to allow me to access my account. In the real sense, that translates to I had paid for one year of membership and lost 30 days. Can I have a credit? There is no way to find out, because there is no way to contact support and see, so I suffered a loss of paying for something I literally couldn't use even though I tried.
2 - There isn't even a forum where questions can be asked that you might not find in a FAQ. Some websites have this feature, but it's still lacking. At least customers feel they are important enough to be integrated into the problem/solution process when they're paying for products and services.
3 - After being able to login and gain access, no one is responding to my job ad no matter how many times I change the wording or pay. What does that mean? Does that mean that because COVID is evolving there is too much demand now and not enough supply? How can care.com relieve this problem? When the pandemic first began, there was too much supply (too many professionals looking for work) and not enough demand (not enough parents looking to hire due to covid) and yet there isn't a solution for the economic comeback and I can't access childcare. Now, this isn't necessarily factored into my "terrible experience" rating, but it surely doesn't help.
I truly believe that in the future, businesses HAVE to continue to be vigilant about providing customers with live support. We are not bots paying bots to take care of our bot children. We are real people, paying ridiculous costs of childcare to encounter an experience that makes our childcare coverage solicitation more difficult. Please find a remedy and offer live support - parents and your customers really need it.
