I wish I would have read other reviews prior to signing up. The site conned us into forking over almost $500 for a year subscription and background check options. I live in another state and am looking for someone to help my elderly parents with errands and transportation. The very few (3) replies to the simple job posting were highly suspicious. One woman was straight up crazy. Another responded once and then disappeared. The other, as it turns out is running a dishonest side hustle and intended to bring unknown/unverified “caretakers” into our home as her proxy after the first meet with my parents. (this was discovered by accident after several conversations and was not voluntarily provided) What choices! And our needs are so very basic! Which is most concerning. Definitely wouldn’t entrust this resource with anything more! We won’t get our money back, but at least I can actively work to keep others from spending theirs.

I got no responses and most of the profiles of the nanny's I reached out to were out of date or no longer active. Complete waste of money.

I was looking for a cleaner, I googled and found this website. Think it needs shutting down everything about its ethics are wrong. I highly advise just advertising on Facebook for FREE you’ll get a bigger audience, I will not pay to reply to potential cleaners. All about money and it’s wrong.

Oh! How I wish I had read these reviews first. I tried finding a caregiver and didn't have any luck with absolutely ZERO responses to messages I sent to people near us. I didn't realize my mother's charge card was charged for 17 MONTHS until I logged onto her account yesterday. I am asking the company for a refund since we had not used the site except for the first month for a few days. Via the chat, I was told no refunds for the "pro" subscription which is the only way you can get info about potential caregivers. I have emailed them and hope, but doubt, that my mom will get a refund. No emails or invoices sent to make us aware charges were continuing. Don't even bother to log on for a trial.

What can I say, they got me for 33.26. This site is definitely a scam. I thought I had a message, and you can only see a name but none of the actual message. Being desperate to find pet care for an upcoming vacation I caved and joined for a month, what a mistake. There was no message, and no response when I contacted the provider whose profile was posted in my messages, so not sure how they did that? Maybe care.com finds people who match and post it? So upset that I gave in, and now my credit card is still on the site and I can't get it off. No customer service to call or chat with, I did send an email and will tell everyone I know to run the other way. Too expensive and the providers listed don't respond. What am I paying for?? Hahaha, and then they respond with an email that doesn't work! Unethical is an understatement.

They don't send you invoices. At all. When I subscribed to their monthly membership ($45 per month, automatic renewal), I assumed I will get invoiced monthly as that's what decent businesses usually do. My credit card was debited monthly without notice which made me forget that my subscription was continuing. I'm currently disputing with them. Should I take them up to Fair Trade Commission?

I have been a Care.com user since the summer of 2013. Care.com was free and I had no problems with the website between the years of 2013-2019. The job descriptions and positions were diversified and nearby to my location. I felt safe and comfortable when meeting the families and checking out their job offerings. However, the Fall of 2019, Care.com deleted my seven year five star account for no apparent reason whatsoever. I wrote to the company directly, yet they dismissed my messages and never once responded. I already had many job opportunities so I didn't take it to heart and still thought highly of the online company. As of June 2022, I wrote back to Care.com to see if I could once again reopen my account. I stated my case and asked why I was deleted in the first place. It took them about two weeks to upload my account and then another week to respond with no explanation for the deletion. Once restarting my account I paid $4.99 for a month of service and another full two weeks of waiting for a background check. Mind you, I had an active thorough background check via a local social work job that took two days, yet for some reason it still took a full two weeks to complete through Care.com? Once my account was finalized I wrote to an average of 50 people who had job postings on the Care.com website. 2/50 responded with inquiries about job details and were very slow to respond. Mind you, as of recently Care.com judges you on your response time and does not judge the employers on their response time... After all of the negativity and poor website management I have had a change of heart in regard to Care.com. The Care.com website used to be so good in the sense of reliability and very much helped me while I was getting through school and to pay off bills. Care.com once offered life changing connections that they no longer seem to create through the website. If you choose care, be careful about this website. They may decide to randomly delete your top rated profile and not any provide online tech support. Care.com may offer you job positions for a cost when it used to be free. If you are serious about being a nanny my suggestion would be to look into your local Facebook childcare needs where you will have a free platform with many more active job positions.

I was about to buy subscription but after seeing bad reviews I have changed my mind! Why 5 star???? Not to appreciate them but for them to atleast have a look and respond me with a Thanks 😂 for not paying them my money.
