On the surface it sounds like a great option when you are looking for a service provider. However, their website and "memberships" are designed in such a way to take advantage of subscribers so I cannot imagine they have much repeat business or customer retention. They make it difficult to cancel giving you screen after screen of "are you sure" and even if you know from the get-go that you don't want a multi-month membership, if you sign up for a ONE MONTH membership they still auto-renew you. They come across as very desperate for money which makes me wonder about the service itself overall. Are they truly running background checks? I'm very disappointed with their customer care and I do not think they are a good company to do business with. If there are other methods of finding care in your area I would do that instead.

I signed up with Care.com on 2/17, looking for a housekeeper. After reviewing the very limited pool, I cancelled on 2/18. I agree that in my hast to try and find someone, I did not read the information thoroughly and there is NO space for a refund. No value business. If they were confident in their product, why no refunds, especially within 24 hours. I chatted with an agent and the dissatisfaction continued.

Sneaky, long term subscription practices. Zero notices for auto renews. Lengthy, manipulative cancellation practice that ends in "We're sorry, your request could not be processed at this time". Also, the service doesn't work well - and when it does, nets you the lowest quality denominator of care providers. Save that expensive subscription fee and send it elsewhere.

Horrible place to set yourself up for care work, they take your money and then ban you. I have heard of this happening to others and it just happened to me. NURSES BEWARE!! apparently anyone can go in and give a bad review privately to the company with zero proof and then care sends out nasty emails warning others about you. They don't look at both sides, no questions asked, nothing. Just start sending nasty defamation emails to prospective clients. I reached out to a client who told me before he hired me they sent him an email saying beware of this person. I had no idea this was being done. I have a remarkable reputation and my license is valid. The company has no legal right to do this. Any attorneys out there want a huge defamation lawsuit against this company??? I have proof they do this. ( they finally paid me back after this review, I still DON'T reccomend using this company, for nothing has changed. AND YET I HAVE A STATE LICENSE, and don't meet their standards??? Well the state Of NH and my agency think I am good enough to work. again they send out really bad emails to any prospective clients you may get.....

Can't give a zero star review. Where to begin...Their website wouldn't keep track of what kind of service we were looking for and kept reverting back to "babysitters", which wasn't obvious until I had entered jobs and started looking at providers. Most were unavailable to book, or non-responsive. Some changed their hourly rate (to 25% ABOVE the TOP of their previous range). Got desperate and finally just picked someone, and agreed on a price. They did a barely adequate job then told my son to pay her $40 more when she finished while I was away. Not sure how they expect you to review these people, I'm going to dis someone who knows quite a bit about my personal life now? You can save $25 a month by hiring someone off Craigslist with the same or better results.

Total ripoff, took money from account and cancelled membership without giving a reason as to why.

Absolute scam. I haven’t used this website in over a year but because I’m registered as a “basic user” I get charged a fee yearly apparently. I only found that out after I saw it show up on my credit card bill. Went to call customer service and found out they literally say word for word, “if you are a basic user you can use our ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ tab. If you want to talk to a customer service agent you must upgrade to premium.” What kind of website are you running if your customers can’t get a hold of someone? For me to cancel the future reoccurring fees I had to literally spend so much time searching through their website and I won’t even be able to get my money back apparently. It’s absolutely ridiculous. I am going to dispute this with my credit card. Do better care.com. This is corrupt business practice.

We used the service for a one time sitter and it went great. We had planned on using it again periodically when we needed someone. I forgot to cancel my subscription and contacted them 15 minutes after it renewed, they told me to kick rocks and that they don’t refund people. I told them that I was accidentally 15 minutes into a 30 day subscription and I planned on being a returning customer. They still said they could not refund me or give me any kind of credit. With that said, I will NEVER be back for any kind of sitter or nanny from their site.
