I paid for one month premium membership, uploaded two photos, wrote detailed request for a babysitter. The job never got posted - always pending. Then two days later, I got an automatic email saying “as requested” my premium membership has been cancelled and another email sent immediately that my membership has been disabled for no reason (they say they could cancel membership anytime without giving a reason). Both emails were sent from no reply email addresses. Their website does not provide contact email address. Chat is only available to members. This is the most suspicious online service I have ever encountered. I am relieved that I got a refund but am concerned about the personal information and the photos I have provided to the care.com. What’s the purpose of existence of this website?

Not safe, dangerous, be careful, bookings can not be trusted. Big waste of time and money, do not pay for the premium membership, scam. Don’t waste time on so called bookings, they will cancel.

You are scammer, you took my £9,99 and I have applied for a number of jobs and no response. Why are you sending me emails about jobs when am yet to hear from the individuals I have applied Kindly stop sending me emails about your scammed jobs

Wish I'd done my due diligence on this company. They suck!! I was looking for a housekeeper. None of the applicants provided fit my needs. Tried one lady who was very nice but bless her heart she wasn't a housekeeper. So fine I paid for one month of care.com approx $38. I also made the mistake of purchasing their $20 upsell for background checks. I never used it and requested a refund. It was denied. According to care.com they don't provide refunds even if the subscription isn't ever used. I wan't asking for the $38 back, just the $20 as it wasn't used. Denied! The most frustrating part being getting in touch with this company. If they respond it's with one email and then they deem that the case is closed, whether the customer is satisfied or not or has other things they'd like to communicate. Terrible business model! Terrible customer service. Would never recommend or use again.

Only received one reply & two others listed never replied back. WARNING you must cancel 7 days prior to the month-end date (they charged my card 3 days prior to my end date & they NEVER REFUND so I'm stuck with another month). I probably still won't find a caregiver since most post different schedules each day so if u need set daily care (e.g. 8a-4p), it's almost impossible. Also one STNA that replied said she couldn't go on a short walk around the cul-de-sac so how is she to care for anyone??!! We asked for a male to groom/shower my father (he won't allow women to see him naked) & the 2 males listed never replied back so basically I wasted $70.

M. Thomas, said exactly how I feel. I spent a couple weeks trying to find someone to interview. I was looking for several hours of care for my 86 yr old Mother, so I could run errands, and do other housework. It was difficult only one person was interviewed at our home. She was very nice, but wanted cash only, no checks. She also would not sign a letter that if she fell (example on our porch) that she had insurance and would not hold us liable. I also reached out to another younger woman to help doing some basic housekeeping..my house is very organized and I just needed dusting and vacuuming. She was excited to do it and when I set up a time and date to see if she could come then. She never replied. I had a hard time cancelling this account. Trying to cancel my account was a real challenge I could never reach a real person. They never replied to my emails. I would not recommend them.

Care.com is a complete joke! For one, I signed up for the monthly membership to see how it went, they charged me the yearly subscription and when I went through complete hoops to get a refund for the 11 months I didn’t sign up for I was told that a supervisor will contact me because they do not give refunds. I had 7 candidates apply, only 2 messaged back. One of them seemed very nice but had very limited hours of availability, the second one I asked to meet her before leaving her with my two very young children and she asked why, then didn’t respond. It is a complete scam!! Do not waste your time or money!!
