care.com was a life saver for my family! They were there when I could not get insurance to move quickly for my mom who had been injured.

Care.com has very unfriendly policies in terms of billing and renewal. They would like to have you pay for services that you do not use.

Trying my best to start pet-sitting to gain some income but Care.com is only functional behind a subscription. What kind of company is structured so you have to pay them to get work? This is simply atrocious and I am doubly upset because of all the messages I have received from potential clients. I cannot pet-sit for them because I cannot message back due to having no subscription. If Care.com took commission from any service then I would understand but I cannot even begin to provide that service because these greedy people want to swindle workers and clients before anything has happened. I hope others do not fall for Care.com because it is the least caring company I have ever had the displeasure of engaging with.

Thank you for your feedback, Joseph. We are a paid subscription service and not a free service. We're very sorry if you thought otherwise and therefore felt mislead. That was never our intention. Many sites like ours charge a fee in order to be able to offer you the features our site offers. Otherwise we'd just be like any other free classified site with very little to offer. If you have any questions or concerns or if you need help with your account and search, please contact us through the contact us link at https://help.care.com/s/contactus?language=en_GB or via Facebook Messenger. Please include Reference Number REV-022899 when you message. We would be more than happy to help. Thank you.

I was able to send messages back and forth. We met in a safe place before going to my home.

This is my second time finding a housekeeper on this site. I was very happy with the people I found. I like the posting of a job, the applications I received, and the ability to see the profile of the applicants as well. I Liked the communications via the platform etc. It took me a while figuring out what to do after I chose someone in terms of indicating I hired someone and closing the job. Maybe there should be a FAQ about this.
