They canceled my account without an explanation. I even had a paid subscription to care.com but there response was basically, sorry, tough luck. Try back in 3 months. They won’t even hold/refund my money. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!

It’s a family business that I love and respect

I contacted a caregiver and I’m excited to get started. Then the reality of serious questions came to me and I thought maybe I should be cautious about assuming it will work. We’ll see!

I signed up for a year plan for my Mother who is currently in ICU and I was giving a discount price of $150.00 and I declined all the extra add ons at this time and immediately upon processing my order the cost jumped to $350.00 and can not figure out what caused the jump in price and the only thing it could be was a $79.00 charge for backgrounds that wasn’t declinable at the purchasing time and even still that wouldn’t cause a $350 bill … I immediately cancelled my subscription because of the huge jump in price and I did received an email stating my subscription was cancelled and then 10 minutes later I got another email telling me “You’ve unlocked your premium … So Im hoping that the cancellation email is correct… It better be!

Be aware that this company may lock you into a year-long contract, making it difficult to exit. They promise big but fall short, and will use every tactic to keep you locked into their “agreement,” even disregarding the rescind timeframe. Whatever you do, avoid signing any contracts or deals with them!

I am still waiting to hear back from someone about canceling my care.com account, and provide me with a confirmation of the cancellation. I am not happy with the service so far because it was a simple request and the person I interacted with in a chat was not able to help me. I’m waiting for a “supervisor” to contact me. I finally got an email response back from the supervisor three days later. Care.com did cancel my premier subscription and let me have a basic prescription instead. I do appreciate that they finally got back to me, although it took a while.

Really odd experience on Care. It seems like the profiles are fake or maybe AI? We posted a want add for a pet sitter and instead got random "people" offering to tutor our kids, etc. Regret subscribing. Total waste.

There aren't any checks and balances. Parents will take advantage of you, use you for your services then never pay. Care.com has a stringent vetting process for caregivers but not family members. You reach out to care stating what you are owed and they wipe their hands stating it isn't their problem and to resolve on your own. You then have to turn the families into the state labor department as well as find an employment lawyer. It's ridiculous.
