Overall the process was very simple and easy. You fill out the form and wait for the barrage of people interested in providing the service you're requesting. For me it was difficult because there were so many responses from people who appeared to be qualified, so it was hard to to pick one. Which is a good thing and a bad thing I suppose. Certainly not the fault of care.com, it just meant that qualified people come to the site to offer their services. If I have one negative it's that people should be able to edit and even remove a review after the fact.

I have had no communication yet with my provider. I have given her my address and phone number but have not heard from her yet. So, hopefully today she will communicate?

Trying to change job listing and I can't

I found a good selection of applicants and it was easy to communicate with them. Your website however is not good. It confuses other kinds of jobs with “babysitters” and doesn’t provide a clear cut way to organize applicants or remove those you are not interested in entirely. It becomes very difficult to keep track of where you are in the process with each applicant.

Avoid Care.com — misleading and disappointing experience I signed up for a subscription with Care.com, and it turned out to be a complete disappointment. The service doesn’t work as advertised. It’s marketed as unlimited, but the included background check is practically useless — they charge extra for any meaningful screening. On top of that, you’re asked to pay additional fees to “promote” your listing, and they even tack on service fees when you try to hire someone. They also advertise their plan as cancel anytime, which is not true. If you pay for a year upfront, you’re locked in — no refunds, no cancellations. When I reached out for help, they refused to cancel or provide any refund. Overall, the experience felt deceptive and unfair. I strongly recommend avoiding Care.com unless they make serious changes to their business practices.

I had trouble in the beginning on my journey with Care. It took forever for a background check, everything came out good but I needed to work like everyone else. But in general it was a wonderful experience working. I enjoyed taking care of the elderly and animals as well. This is a great opportunity for people who work hard and love what they do.

Booking was simple and efficient.
