Loan Officer Unqualified - lack of supervision, 100 days and counting
Update: After posting this complain and reaching out to advocacy group as requested by the company when answering my complain, clear efforts to review my documentation and status were in place. I recognize my case is complex and requires plenty of documents. We hundreds of thousands of small business owners, cases can be done correctly, timely to acquire a good quality and credit worth mortgage holder. Thanks Laura and Shante for scrutinizing, crunching the numbers again and understanding my business/risks better. *****************original post********************* I have had a very time consuming and frustrating experience dealing with Cardinal Financial. It is not straight forward - Cardinal keeps extending the process over and over. Loan officer does not communicate with client properly on information required and process timeline. My mortgage process started 6/17/2020 and 100+ days later is STILL ongoing. The caveat is that I have proved that I do have liquid assets, with a documented history of 7+ years, which is 3x the value of the mortgage. I have received over 20 requests for different pieces of information and 9 updates of mortgage disclosure document. Rate lock has been extended multiple times. Lender had to notarize payoff information multiple times. Calling the company directly and using their automated system by entering Social Security # or Loan Number is a dead-end - it does seem that my loan process does NOT even exist. The many requests come from Loan Officer Laura Laise via email and have to be uploaded on OCTANE engine. It seems there is a lack of qualification to understand basic numbers both personal and business therefore never ending requests keep on coming. Over 100 pages of documents were supplied and not having anyone supervising inexperienced officers translates into a time and money wasted. The lack of available supervisors to address concerns is a red flag - the automated system does not even find your loan so how knows how to get a hold of a supervisor. Just beware before putting too much effort in this company.
