On entering the website, I get an offer for 10% off on my next order (no * anywhere with fine print), if I sign up for their emails. So I sign up and get a code which I plug in to use on my order. Then it says code is no good, so I try it a few more times. Finally I get to a page that shows all the things that the discount doesn't apply to. Now, hopefully, I can unsubscribe to their emails and shop elsewhere.

I was on the mobile site and bought a kelty Gunnison tent for a trip I had coming up. The tentire I was looking for happened to be on sale so I bought it. When the tent arrived in the mail I noticed the poles that were pictured were not included with the tent. Nowhere does it say that. I checked the website again to make sure before calling and the same tent was on sale for even cheaper now! I bought it a few days ago and now it's much cheaper! 100% price guarantee is a lie. I called and polietly explained the situation and they said to return the tent. Then they charged me 7.50 for shipping because there was nothing wrong with the tent! What a ripoff. The mistake was their fault and I had to pay for it. If they would have been willing to discount the poles I would have kept the tent but they would rather have a unhappy customer and return the tent. This place sucks.

As the title states, they mailed me the men's parka. There was supposedly only one women's parka left in stock so I can only assume that they never had one. Irritating, especially since I am in US for only a few weeks and now won't have time to buy the jacket elsewhere. I had read these reviews before ordering but decided to take a chance since they were so much cheaper than everywhere else. The positive was that they were very nice on the phone and set up a return, no problem.

I recently ordered Boreas Bolinas 30 L Backpack and thought I was ordering it in the Lunar Black color scheme like the images provided on the website. To my surprise I received the 2015 "Eclipse" color scheme of black/gold none of which was indicated anywhere on the web page. Had I known I would not have ordered it. To make matters worse they could not reserve the proper replacement since it was out of stock. I will have to join their email list and call them once its back in stock in order to exchange it. Very inconvenient, it is not that difficult to keep up to date information on the site. A irresponsible vendor for sure! Be warned don't get mislead.

I bought a pair of hiking shoes after much research that were rated on the top and were at a great price on CampSavers. The first pair were big so I called and they sent me a no cost return label and I was also able to place the order for a replacement pair. I opted for them to first receive this current pair before sending me the second pair. I tried out the second pair with different socks and insoles and put around 3 miles on them. But still my feet could not get used to the shoes. Called back again and told them my story. I got a no cost return label and a full refund. This is the first time I am shopping online for shoes. CampSaver with their level of service made it a good experience for me...just like going to the store. Thank you for the good service.

I searched the web and thought I had found the best deal on a Phantom Spark 28 sleeping bag. I ordered it and received a Phantom 32 in the mail. I brought up chat and spoke with a rep of the company, only to have them tell me that the online ad was wrong..ALL WRONG and that the one I ordered was a clearance from last year so it's a 32. NO WHERE on the website did it state this!! He said my options was to get my money back OR PAY THE DIFFERENCE...to get THE BAG I ORIGINALLY ORDERED! REALLY! I should have just been able to exchange the two since it's their fault that their add is all screwed up. Not happy with this company, will never use it again, would not recommend it...you'll never know what you'll end up with after you order, how can you trust them?

I was thrilled with the discounted prices and made my order quickly to allow time for the goods to ship from US to Australia. Not advertised is a payment authorization. About 12 hours after I ordered and paid I got an email saying I have to authorize the payment. I have two options FIRST OPTION : I can call my bank and get a secret number (ANZ tells me that the US and Europe use a hidden reference number for authorisations that aren't visible to Australian banks). SECOND OPTION : they have made a small refund to my credit card, if I can tell them how much then this is considered authorisation. This is the option I went with and it took 5 days to clear, meaning my order will arrive just days after my hiking trip. Fabulous . When they finally released my order, they found that one of the items was on back order! How can that be? They had known about my order for a good 5 days, it should have been in by then ... clearly they didn't even look at my order until the payment was authorised. The stock level on the website said IN STOCK, and I checked with them that they would not give my stock to someone else while they did the "authorisation". So at this point my decision is to either have my order either delayed EVEN MORE or cancel it from my order (which I did), but it was really the cheapest supplier, and shipping is only free on really big orders. I'm really very annoyed at this extra authorisation. I thought I had found the best site ever (massive range, fantastic prices, great to navigate) and it turns out to be a dud. Maybe its for the best, I was spending too much money on hiking and camping gear anyway. Maybe if you use PayPal instead of Credit Card it would be a better experience, although I don't use PayPal because of all the scam PayPal emails going around.

I have ordered several products from stuff sacks to sleeping bags to camping mats over the past year from Campsaver. They consistently offers the lowest prices (especially if you can locate a coupon code). I live in Colorado (right next to their headquarters in Utah) so I always get their products fast. I plan to do business with them again.
