Cabinets are beautiful--assembly was easy--delivery was a bit of a headache.
My refrigerator waterline busted while I was on vacation, flooding my kitchen, living room, dining room, and most of my basement. Insurance paid out for the repairs, but our kitchen had 26 year old contractor-grade basic cabinetry, and we definitely wanted an upgrade. I spent over 100 hours researching cabinet companies, and finally settled on CabinetGiant as the cabinet line we liked would come in within one week, so we could get to living our life again. I placed my online order on a Tuesday night, and was assured my order would be delivered by Friday, or Saturday at the latest. But, my cabinets were delivered to the hub on a Monday but CabinetGiant had it shipped at a lower level and as a result, FedEx would not release my load until Wednesday as that is when the order was scheduled for delivery. I patiently waited, rented a Uhaul Van to pickup at the freight terminal, and carried everything inside my home. I decided to start with an easy cabinet, a 12-inch wide wall cabinet. Wow! We were both stunned--the assembly took less than 15 minutes, and we had a gorgeous (and sturdy) wall cabinet ready for installation. I then decided to try a trickier cabinet--a corner wall cabinet. This one wasn't too bad, as it only took about 30 minutes of assembly. After finishing the upper cabinets and installing them, I began working in the corner of the kitchen with my Lazy Susan cabinet. Now that cabinet, was a nightmare. The assembly instructions were a few sketches on a sheet of paper. I spent over 4 hours assembling that one cabinet, seeking guidance from Youtube videos and online forums. I even had to call CabinetGiant to inquire about a few extra metal brackets as they weren't shown anywhere on the instructions, the website, or any forum I found. *Note* The black L-shaped metal pieces are meant to attach the back of the cabinet to the base of the cabinet if there is any bowing in the cabinet after assembly. My cabinet did not bow, so I simply tossed them away. The rest of the cabinets went together easily, and look gorgeous in my new kitchen. The granite installer was shocked at the quality of cabinets I had purchased for less than half of what he was offering for a lesser quality. He took a copy of my online order so he could talk to his manager and see if they can switch cabinet companies! I recently held our family's Thanksgiving at our house, and all of our family has praised on how nice our cabinets are. In the long run, I'm very happy with CabinetGiant, and I won't hesitate to order from them again when we move and find a new home with less-than-stellar cabinets in place.
