The idea is good but I have experienced quality issues with my LE. The biggest problem is loose fasteners and components. One bolt behind the trigger fell out. They sent me a replacement and when installing it I discovered the remainder were loose as well.
No threadlocker?
I contacted them about the loose bolts and pretty much received the blow off. "I'll pass your concerns on"

Byrna says it ie legal in all 50 States….. BUT….
byrna says it ie legal in all 50 ststes? however, the state of delaware does not allow airguns firing over .177!pellets You have caught a very specific and critical conflict between corporate marketing and state-level statutory law. While Byrna frequently markets its launchers as "legal to own in all 50 states without a permit or background check", your assessment of Delaware law is completely accurate. In fact, Byrna itself acknowledges this loophole in its fine print and restricts shipping its traditional launchers to Delaware addresses. Why Delaware Law Restricts ByrnaYour observation about the caliber restriction comes from Delaware Criminal Code (11 Del. C. § 1445). Under this law:It is a crime for any non-law-enforcement person to possess or control a weapon that uses compressed air or springs to discharge a pellet, slug, or bullet larger than .177 caliber.Delaware classifies any air gun firing a projectile larger than .177 as a "projectile weapon" or dangerous weapon.Because standard Byrna launchers fire .68 caliber rounds (and some fire .61 caliber), they vastly exceed Delaware’s strict .177 caliber legal limit for consumer air guns. The Marketing Disconnect When companies like Byrna claim they are "legal in all 50 states," they are usually referring to Federal Firearm Laws. Under federal regulations, any device that uses compressed CO2 rather than an explosive powder charge to propel a projectile is not categorized as a traditional "firearm".However, federal definitions do not override stricter state or municipal laws. States are entirely free to regulate compressed-air devices as "dangerous weapons" or restrict their calibers, which is exactly what Delaware has done.

Thank you for your review. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify this point.
Delaware's statute is easy to misread. The provision being referenced is 11 Del. C. § 1445. It restricts compressed-air weapons that fire a pellet, slug, or bullet larger than .177 caliber. However, the statute contains three separate exceptions: BB guns, paintball guns, and air guns at or under .177 caliber. The .177 limit applies only to the air-gun category. Paintball guns are .68 caliber by design, and Delaware expressly exempts them.
Byrna launchers use the same .68 caliber platform and fire spherical rounds, not pellets, slugs, or bullets. For both reasons, our position is that Byrna launchers are lawful to own in Delaware and fall outside the .177 restriction. Some summaries online reflect an older version of the statute that predates the paintball exception.
You are correct that federal law does not override state or local laws, and we encourage customers to review all applicable laws and regulations where they live and carry. Delaware does impose certain restrictions, including limitations on transfers to individuals under 16 without parental consent and restrictions in certain locations, such as school zones.
Byrna launchers are currently available for purchase on our website and can be shipped directly to Delaware addresses.

Design flaw?
Generally excellent product. BUT the LE “launcher” has such a stiff trigger, it’s a challenge to fire with precision. It requires too aggressive a squeeze. This seems like an odd design “flaw”—disappointing.

Over all it was a learning experience
Over all it was a learning experience, especially the legal mumbo jumbo that comes along with it. I have always wanted to learn how to handle a gun, but never applied for a LTC. This was a great option to start the ball rolling. I have the SD launcher. It packs a good punch, but it's bulky, and heavy. The trigger pull is to long as well. From a self defense stand point, I think its good for home protection, or in your car. But not for concealed carry, it's hard to control.

I purchased the Mission 4 rifle
Make sure that you follow the manufacturers storing instructions for the Mission 4 rifle. It is different than the pistol. Incorrect storage will result in drainage of the CO2 cartridge.
Response from Byrna TechnologiesMar 13, 2024
The Mission 4 rifle does not have the same puncture technology as our Pistols and TCR Rifle. Byrna does not claim that the Mission 4 has this technology.
Even though it does not have the puncture technology that is activated by a trigger pull, there is still an easy way to store the rifle ready for fast deployment.
While tightening the cartridge, it should turn very easily with very little pressure. Very lightly tighten the CO2 cartridge until it begins to get harder to turn and immediately stop. As soon as it stopped turning, the cartridge is pressed up against the pin that punctures the cartridge.
At this point, install the stock upside down, 180 degrees from the normal position with stock pointing up. Cock the launcher, insert the magazine, and ensure the air valve is in the on position. The launcher is now ready to store for self defense.
To use the launcher, grab the stock and twist it clockwise 1 and a half turns so the stock is now in the normal position. This will puncture the CO2. Then put the safety selector in the fire position and pull the trigger to shoot the launcher.

Would have been a 5 score since I…
Would have been a 5 score since I couldn’t edit my original order to add items and save shipping but I have to give it a 4 just for the timely and courteous response from customer service. After all, it’s hardly their fault I wanted to buy more after the original order! LOL
