Buyer beware. Bought the Compact Launcher during Overland Expo Mountain West. Pretty expensive but I was okay with that. During the purchase I asked if there was a show special and the guy, who was not the friendliest, threw in some additional projectiles and added their CO2 Cartridges to the pile. No asking if I wanted them or if I was okay with the additional cost, so of course I thought that was the "show special" that I had asked about. Of course the receipt was online so I didn't actually see that I was charged $85 for those extras that I thought were show special "sweetenrs". Wrong!!

I don’t recommend the Mission 4 unless you’re sure that only two or three rounds is all you need to turn someone around. After maybe five uses, the mags will only let the first couple rounds go into the chamber and then fail. Also, don’t use practice rounds. They make this faulty equipment shoot and/or jam even worse. Don’t waste your money on something you can buy a real firearm with that is much less likely to let you down. If you’re in the market for something like this, you need to be sure you get something that won’t fail you. This isn’t that.

Byrna's customer service reps are all polite and professional. The company just needs focus in on results over processes. My Byrna CL arrived out of the box with rough edges, poor molding construction and loud rattling optic screws. These are facts that Byrna's CEO has publicly acknowledged with some of their Bryna CLs. So when dealing with external, cosmetic issues that are acknowledged, I would expect the company to send a replacement ASAP. Byrna receiving the blemished launcher first is irrelevant for these specific situations. Ideally, a replacement launcher should be sent as soon as they are made aware of the issue. I personally offered to take my CL to a local official Byrna retail store for proof. At worst, once you can prove with a tracking number that you have sent the launcher back, a new one should be in the mail the same day. They focus on hiding behind the "policy"rather than fast solutions. Does the company have that right? Of course they do. Consumers also have the right to choose a company with better service. Byrna needs to understand the basics of customer service is to serve the customer. Work with us, give us options. Less lethal defense is a rapidly growing space and it will be interesting to see how Byrna's approach to customer service will be received as competition increases.

I bought the Byrna CL based on their description of this model. My first mistake! Once I had it and tried it out, much to my chagrin I discovered it doesn’t work anywhere like the company advertised it! I’d do better with a slingshot! It’s not going to stop a dog let alone a person. You’d just be laughed at unless you’re really good shot and hit them directly in the eyeball! Way way way too expensive for what it is…..a toy, maybe?? Don’t buy this piece of junk, save your money and get a pellet gun at Tractor Supply or Atwoods, they’re cheaper and more effective!

Overpriced garbage. Novel idea except the pellets burst in the gun leaving you with a toxic chemical spill to clean up and yes this is nasty stuff if it gets on you hand. I've had 3(three) pellets rupture three different times in the gun (clip) while the gun(toy) was in a hard holster in a laptop bag in the back of my motor home. Not being tossed around or abused. Also I'm not sure how they are arriving at the FPS numbers but these things are weak. Anyone with a jacket on is going to keep coming at you unless they stop to breath this crap in.

Had the hand gun for less than a 2 years, shot it only hand full of times, the pistol started jamming on me and is miss firing, the trigger is getting stuck. Was told to send it in but there will be a Charge for the repairs. Not happy with the purchase, would not recommend, also the gun when it works is not very accurate, the bullets go in different direction each time you shoot.

I bought the LE launcher last October what a disaster. I had to send it back 4 times, every time I got it back supposedly fixed it broke again within minutes, it shoots air. Byrna refused to issue a refund, they are thieves, $600 in the drain, The worst part is that Byrna knows very well the LE has a design flaw (look at the amount of complains on YouTube and Reddit), but they refuse to take the launcher off the website and redesign it, they keep selling it. Did you notice all the videos they show features the SD, but never the LE? They know the LE is garbage, they won't admit it. Byrna owner should be ashamed of himself for stealing money selling the LE.

I bought the Byrna for a present for my wife on November 15th and she did not want it, so I went to return it and they only accept returns a 14 days after the sale. Mind you, it was never used and is unopened. These guys have horrible customer service.
