Sky practices are vile, they purpously reduce data speed and dont keep their internet speed promise, hope someone takes them to court over this

I had an internet box installed, but it was placed in the wrong part of my building, making it difficult to access the internet. When I filed a complaint, they initially tried to charge me for the relocation, despite me explaining the issue and having been a loyal customer, paying £30 a month for two years. Eventually, they agreed to move it so I could actually use it for my business. In the meantime, I had to spend a lot on phone data and hotspotting, which shouldn’t have been necessary. They scheduled the relocation, and I waited two more weeks without proper internet. I was told the technician would arrive between 8 AM and 1 PM, so I took unpaid time off work—but no one showed up. When I called for an explanation, I got none, nor was I offered any compensation for the inconvenience. Now, I’m being told I have to wait another two weeks to start the process all over again. At this point, I’m left wondering if they’ll even show up next time. My buisness cant not run with out Internet this is unfair !

I cancelled Sky Business (06/09/2024). I returned the items - Sky Business picked them up (30/01/2025). However, I was still invoiced (06/02/2025) for unreturned items. I called to sort the issue out before the charge came out of my bank account, but it still came out of my bank account (20/02/2025). I had to call again (20/02/2025) but was simply told it should not have, and they would credit it - currently waiting to be credited.

Called sky boardband team and tried to update my payment methods. Took them 40 mins trying to find my account but they fail to even after I submitted my bill. Avoid

Took a chance on Sky Broadband for business. Never worked properly. Took a couple of weeks for one honest adviser to admit that Sky’s router could create problems for certain equipment. Gave notification, well within one month notice period, that I wished to cancel contract. After cancellation I was billed for £194 for early cancellation. Phoned and Sky admitted this was a mistake and that account would be rectified and no money taken. A week or so later £194 has been taken from my account. Incompetence, or does Sky take the money anyway hoping they’ll get away with it?

Ended the contract when we moved offices. We had to end it because that cannot retain your business phone number, they actually advise you to leave. They said they would waiver the early termination, but still took the money. Next thing, we sent sent the router and 4g backup and voice kit back, but they still billed us £400 for non return. So best part of £500 taken from our account. And then the best bit, a month later still not got the money back!! The phone advisor asked me to send an email with return evidence. Two weeks later and no response to that email. Avoid doing business with these. For a business as large as Sky you’d expect better!!

Left me with no phones to my two businesses and said nothing they could do nothing for ten days. then offered me peanuts in compensation then said we were in deadlock. Absolutely awful company. They cost me hundreds of pounds in lost business and walked away.

Truly awful service , our business went with them for FTTP broadband and had to cancel within 14 day cooling off period . Customer service is non existent as is their technical knowledge. We originally ordered this service in October and it took circa 4 weeks to complete . A great way to lose business is to have them as your business broadband supplier .
