Bungalow sucks! I've never written a review this bad but I need to so you don't make this mistake of renting from them. Bungalow doesn't come to fix issues in time, pictures they provide on their website are misleading! Most of the furniture in their pictures was removed from the rooms at some point. Customer service SUCKS! Don't fix the issue, and threaten you if you do something they don't like. Once you move out you have to contact them for months and threaten to take them to small claims court before they give you back your deposit. Luckily my housemates were mostly nice, but this must be a nightmare if you find yourself with a bad housemate, which does happen.

I rented one of their homes in Chicago, and one of the roommates, Thad, was a creep who would film me from across the house, screw and tamper with my things and was generally just a petty jerk to everyone in the house. The company did pretty much nothing about it so suffice to say they have a horrible screening process. Not to mention the house was basically a glorified shack from the inside, some outlets didn’t work, we got rats, tv didn’t work, walls were peeling, essentially as many things as you could expect to be wrong that you wouldn’t have been able to tell from the pictures. They also attempted to try and tell me that my security deposit wasn’t technically a security deposit and therefore couldn’t be returned. Thank god for the 15 day trial.

They are an invisible company that wouldn't lift a finger to help if any problem arises. They advertise themselves as this all inclusive package deal, like your joining a family of sorts, but it couldn't be further from the truth! Boiler stops working in the middle of winter? 1.5 months to get it fixed, no problem. Internet issues because the router malfunctions? Can't book a technician and will not provide details so that you can book a technician yourself to fix. Locked out of the apartment and they have a lockbox? Easy...$200 to get the code. Wait...you got your own locksmith that you paid for and provided extra keys to all the roomates already? $210 charge for putting that new key in the lockbox. Conveniently changed a fixed rate utility charge to as bills come, you pay exactly those plus a service charge, without informing the tenants or updating the lease to showcase accordingly. Used and still uses COVID to provided the most minimalistic assistance for anything. Want to dispute a charge? get harassed by 4 to 5 team members till you fold. These guys exist to squeeze money out of people who do no know what they are getting into. So this is my warning of sorts, unless you are desperate please stay far away from these guys

Worst company to rent from! They used to have hundreds of 1 star ratings on Google Reviews, but none of these are accessible anymore. They'll put up a flimsy piece of drywall in the living room to add another "room" the size of a closet. On the day I moved in, I wasn't provided a code to the door so I was locked out for hours with the Uhaul and had to pay an overnight cost. At one point, they gave a roommate an early move in date without notifying us (current residents) and when she appeared, we were all confused. She called Bungalow Living and they told her to evacuate the apartment asap. This was the first apartment away from her family and she had just flown in from across the country. Would not recommend. Everyone that has lived with Bungalow Living has a horror story or two, and nobody renews their lease.

They discriminate against LGBTQ. Applied for an apartment and everything was going well. I make 6 times the posted rent and even provided a bank statement showing over $20k in my account. My legal name is different from my preferred name and upon the agent discovering that suddenly I get denied. Their reasoning was "if credit score is under 550 it is automatically denied". That was a lie, because my credit score was definitely over 550 and I even provided evidence of the reports from Equifax and TransUnion and asked them where they got their report from. They refuse to respond now after calling them out on their lie. Its evident its because they discriminate against LGBTQ

I'm a home owner, recently signed a contract with Bungalow. They promised to update me on the status on a weekly basis, but as soon as the lease's been signed, they've stopped responding to your emails / calls. The service they provide is the lowest quality job you can expect (they hire local ppl thru different App and provide no oversight to the job done), and no one really oversees the listing. I wish I have looked at other bad reviews before I signed the contract with them. Everyone is remote and there is no one looking over your house or posting with the attention it needs.

This is by far the worst property management company in existence. Their customer/support service and overall property management quality is non-existent. Beware, I wouldn’t recommend them even if they paid me.

If you're a homeowner or landlord, do not let Bungalow manage your property. I regret signing over my house to them for one year and I hope the the tenants will not renew the lease. They put in horrible tenants in my brand new house. The tenants have not even stayed in the house for a month and they requested 5 to 6 maintenance requests. Without my knowledge, Bungalow sent all their high dollars maintenance technicians that ended charging me 1000 plus in services. In all I have spent over 3k on the house in less than 6 months because the tenants called for everything and Bungalow will send technicians to check it out and landlords pay for services. Stay away from them. Do not let them manage your property.
