I rented a studio with this company in Santa Clara, California and since day one the entire electrical system has been failing. Kitchen connections, air conditioning, hot water does not work. I have been trying to get in touch for 18 days and making numerous requests and they have only sent one plumber. They never answer my calls or my emails asking for help. I am completely upset with the terrible attention from this company. I do not recommend it.

Listing title in a different neighborhood, move-in conditions were disgusting to say the least. Unacceptable response times and communication from maintenance and bungalow living. Had broken microwave, doors, fixtures, oven, and no wifi for over a month. Disrespectful and gaslighting company that takes advantage of people looking for easy to rent options. This seems like a good deal but it's a well-built scam. Bungalow owes me and all my roommates money. I have no idea what I paid for, and exhausted with trying to advocate for myself so currently looking into legal options. Please do your research and see the 100s of terrible reviews on third-party sites, as well as lawsuits. Our landlord decided to end his relationship with the company and rent directly from us, because he also has had an AWFUL experience - spending way more money than he ever anticipated. Bungalow, if you're reading this I hope you feel something for the fact that you take advantage of people, and you work for/run a housing scam.

We signed 2 year contract with Bungalow in august 2021 (we're homeowners) - as soon as the contract was signed, nearly all communication dropped and it was nearly impossible to get ahold of a person by phone - right now it is not possible at all and all communication is via email, with weeks time wait each time. We were charged a fee for the smart lock and lied to that it was installed when it wasn't. Throughout the years we were charged for maintenance requests that were either incomplete or simple tasks were charged for with hundreds of dollars. Took reaching out to CFO on LinkedIn to get this the attention it deserved. Currently our contract is expiring at the end of the month, and per the contract we should have been notified whether the tenant is renewing, and/or whether Bungalow wants to renew the contract - no response for multiple emails again. Since we live in a different city we will now need to spend money on tickets to go there in September and pray and hope that the apartment has been vacated. Save your nerves and stay away.

UPDATE: I recently completed my move-out and was expecting to receive my full security deposit back. To my surprise, not only am I not getting a single cent... I also seemingly "owe" them! They are charging me for bills that I didn't even incur and doing their best to NOT give me my money back. I am considering taking legal action. ORIGINAL: It was such a pleasant experience looking for and securing a place via Bungalow. Their system just adds a boost of confidence in terms of security compared to the "traditional" way of apartment hunting through other channels. The whole process was fairly easy to follow and they give you options depending on your situation. The apartments also come with a virtual tour so you get to experience your soon-to-be home prior to moving. Although, of course, nothing beats physically touring the place. Having an app where you can settle your rent and other fees, request maintenance, etc. is also very convenient. I would highly recommend Bungalow. Some minor things that are worth mentioning: - My first application was denied by the roommates (some apartments need their approval in order to move forward with the application) because I mentioned that I would like to utilize the kitchen and they did not want a roommate who cooks too much. - Perhaps it's time to switch from the term Master's Bedroom and Bathroom to Primary Bedroom and Bathroom.

They let me tour a property and immediately after I went to apply. I got an error it wasn't available. What???

Reduction of house cleanings without notice, unreliable maintanence, cheaply remodeled housing, unhelpful csm and sales reps, while trapping the user in a termination fee that is 3x the monthly rent. The company knows how contracts can actually play out, the person who signs does not

I got rushed into signing my lease a week ago, which was not a great start, but pretty standard practice in the sales world, so I didn't think much of it. Next, my roommates started a group text with me and I came to realize that the place was not as advertised. The roommates warned me that the place was much smaller than expected, and I also found out that Bungalow was not a place for "young professionals" as advertised. Potential new roommates included literally anybody in need of a home, including people as young as 18 and potential drug addicts or criminals. I don't think Bungalow does any sort of background check. Bungalow also advertises that their "Meet & Greet" chat allows you to meet and approve or deny a new roommate. As it turned out, the chat doesn't work well and it is nearly impossible to deny a roommate. So you are still effectively forced to live with roommates who may be dangerous. My move-in date is still 2 weeks away and I am in the process of cancelling the lease, and it seems that Bungalow is going to try to take me for as much money as they can even though they will likely fill the room before my lease even starts. Shady practices all around. DO NOT SIGN WITH BUNGALOW!

DO NOT RENT WITH BUNGALOW! This is a massive scam. They do not do a quality background check on possible residents. The customer support staff is not knowledgeable of policies or helpful and that’s IF you can get someone to respond - which is almost impossible. I have also experienced Bungalow offering gifts and reward for leaving positive reviews online, which is against BBB practices. Currently, they have homes all over Dallas, even though they are only a licensed broker in Harris and Tarrant County. They advertise that they are a private community of young professionals. In their shared homes, they advertise that you’re allowed to set your roommate preferences and pick out your roommates but once you are moved in, they take that privilege away and force you to live with strangers that you have never met or talked to you before. The first time they did this to me, the person that moved in with a mentally unstable drug user that had to be forcefully removed from the home. I am stuck in a lease. I am a single female, and now Bungalow is moving into older men into my house that I have never talked to or met and it terrifies me Bungalow is not sympathetic, they do not care about tenant safety, and any complaints or concerns that my roommates and I have expressed they have ignored. I just hope that this review can help someone else. DO NOT RENT WITH BUNGALOW!!!!
