I regret choosing Buildzoom

I regret choosing Buildzoom for my renovation project. My experience was nothing short of disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend their services to anyone looking for reliable project management. From the start, there were red flags. I received three bids from Buildzoom professionals back in November 2023, but I never got any bid comparisons or meaningful follow-up. Communication was abysmal—it often took weeks to hear back, and the team only seemed to engage after I complained. Despite providing bids and contracts upfront, the project management felt non-existent. The only touchpoints I received were emails asking for updates, which added no value, especially after I moved onto the property. What was promised during the sales process was not delivered, and I was misled into believing they could accommodate my project’s phased approach. To make matters worse, despite paying $5,850 of the contracted $8,000, I saw no tangible benefits from their involvement. When I expressed my concerns, they fell through the cracks, due to the constant rotation of project managers. Buildzoom admitted that my experience didn’t align with their usual outcomes, but they were still unable to issue a refund. This lack of accountability and failure to deliver on their promises has left me extremely dissatisfied. If you’re looking for a company that values transparency, effective communication, and follow-through, I suggest you look elsewhere.

The Architect Bid Comparison meeting took place on December 21st, 2023, with Zach in attendance. We apologize for any confusion but want to confirm that the proposal comparison was conducted. Additionally, the design review call happened on April 4th, 2024. Regarding your concern about the invoicing stages, please note that you were not charged for any stages that we did not complete with BuildZoom present. BuildZoom has successfully managed many phased projects over the years, and we strive to ensure client satisfaction in every case. In your situation, since we did not complete the remaining stages, you were not billed for those invoices. The communication log that is available to you in your portal thoroughly reflects consistent communication from November 2023 to August 2024. We are genuinely sorry that your experience with us fell short of your expectations. We value your feedback and will use it to improve our services!
