After several back and forth emails with Brumate customer service department Brumate refused to replace my lid. Which had a defective straw receiver. THEY wanted me to repurchase the lid which is $14.99 plus 11 dollars in shipping. What happened to the customer is always right? I don't know but I will share this customer service experience with everyone I know. Goodbye Brumate. Hello Stanley!

So Hard to Open
So coming here I was shocked - I actually received my order. However I am so shocked by how much sheer FORCE is required to open and close the bottle using the twist. I would NOT have bought the bottle if I knew how hard it would be to both open AND close.
Also shocked by how often the twist FAILS to actually open or close the bottle, both when you actually successfully turn the twist to open (sometimes it just does nothing) AND also how often it fails when it simply requires too much force to actually turn it. That is a complete joke for a luxury bottle. It is pretty though
UPDATE: After using it for about a month, turns out this is pretty much the only negative I have about the bottle. It's a pretty great bottle otherwise, and even has material to make putting it down pretty much totally silent. It really does keep my water cool for like 48h tested by me. I really like it

RISE 35 oz - Don't buy direct from BruMate
I ordered a water container for my husband's birthday, thinking I would receive it in time. READ the fine print, it's 3 to 5 business days before they even prepare to ship. Then they charge $11 for shipping. You can purchase the same BruMate Rise 35 oz mug on Amazon with FREE shipping and receive it next day. I was told I could return it when I receive it but they don't refund the shipping. Terrible company, purchase from Amazon if you really want their product.

Not helpful for wholesale
I have really always loved Brumate products, since they started. So now that I am opening my own business I wanted to become a wholesaler, I have applied 5 times over the past week because after my first application and not hearing anything for three days I reached out to check on the status. I was told to reapply and did not hear anything back for a couple days. After I reapplied a 5th time and created a new service ticket the Helpdesk decided to let me know they have "notified the team" and hopefully the issue, which has affected a lot of people, will be fixed by next week. So I asked if there was a way to be connected to a wholesale rep and my information to be manually input, and I was told "no" because at this point there are too many people this has affected. Terrible customer support across the board. However, I appreciate the reminder of how I do not want to treat my future customers.

This company claims to have a 60 defect…
This company claims to have a 60 defect warranty, but will blame the customer for not properly handling or misusing the product and does not want to honor the warranty. I had my cup for less than 30 days and my silicone straw completely broke in half on a limited edition cup. They said they can replace it but it will be with a different color that doesn't match. On another cup I had the color started to come off within the warranty period I sent in pictures and they said there was nothing they could do.
Don't offer a warranty if you aren't going to honor it.

I never received my order and when I…
I never received my order and when I contacted customer service they made me wait 7 days to tell me that they couldn't do anything and to file a claim with the carrier. Don't trust these people with your money.

No Customer service
I placed an order with Brumate and also paid for shipping. I had previously bought a Brumate product on Amazon and would be the only way I would buy a product from them again. When I purchased from Brumate. The package never shipped and they put that responsibility on me. The only thing I saw on tracking was that the shipper USPS had received the label not the product. Instead of handling and owning the problem BruMate referred me to some third party insurance they had. They finally reached out and said that they wait 10 days before opening a case. For the price point that they charge and if they desire to have repeat customers this whole process was absurd.I actually like the product very much but more important to me is a company that stands by their product and their process. They clearly do not and do not seem to even want to talk to their customers.

poor durability of products and even worse customer service
I was a loyal BrüMate customer for years. I own a slim can cooler, two Era tumblers, two champagne cups, and at least six Leap kids cups. Unfortunately, this company has completely lost my business.
The Leap kids cup lids have been the biggest disappointment. I’ve had multiple lids fail with the same issue despite normal, careful use. The plastic insert/straw mechanism repeatedly breaks, making the cups unusable.
BrüMate previously replaced defective lids under warranty, which is the only reason I continued buying more Leap cups despite the recurring failures. I even contacted customer service before purchasing another one to discuss this exact issue, and no one mentioned a 60-day limit.
When my newest lid broke, I submitted photos showing it had failed before the 60-day window expired. My claim was still denied.
Even more frustrating, your representative had previously advised me to purchase a core color instead of a limited-edition design so a matching replacement lid would be available if I ever needed one. That conversation reinforced my understanding that defective lids would continue to be covered and directly influenced my decision to purchase additional Leap cups. Had I been told lids would instead be considered normal wear & tear after only 60 days, I never would have continued investing in your products.
BrüMate markets these cups as premium products, but the lids simply have not been durable enough for everyday use. If a lid breaking after only a few months is considered “normal wear and tear,” then these cups are far less durable than their marketing suggests.
What disappointed me most wasn’t the broken lid-it was the customer service. Rather than addressing the evidence I provided or the concerns I raised, I received repeated template responses that ignored the main issues.
I can no longer recommend BrüMate. After spending hundreds of dollars on their products, I’ve lost confidence in both their quality and their willingness to stand behind them.
