We reserved a hotel in West Texas thru BringFIdo but had an unexpected change in plans and needed to cancel. Emma at BringFido was able to get us a full refund even though we were nearly an hour past the deadline. They go the extra mile in customer service!

I was looking for a pet friendly hotel to stay at during my dogs stereotactic radiation therapy. I had a list but wanted to know more, my step-daughter recommended BringFido, by using your site, I found details that helped me make my decision that I wouldn't have known otherwise.

This was my 1st (and last) experience using bring Fido to book a hotel. I booked my hotel over a week ago with my pets for an important event. After arriving at the hotel, I was told by the receptionist they don't have my reservation, even after I showed her my confirmation email. Apparently they use a third party like priceline or booking.com to book the reservations and it never went through. I had been driving for 5 hrs.. was exhausted. The rooms were all sold out, except 1 which was $50 more than the price of my original booking and the bring fido agent I talked to said he couldn't cover the difference. He said the best they could do was review it up to 48 hrs later and maybe they would cover the difference, maybe not. I ended up going to a different hotel altogether; there were hardly any pet friendly places left because of the event going on in town. In short, I would not trust bring fido to fulfill any reservations nor honor their agreements when they screw up. Incredibly disappointing customer service.

Nora, we are so sorry for this experience. Please know that we are looking into your situation and trying to get to the bottom of what happened between our booking partner and the hotel. Although an incident like this is incredibly rare, it is certainly frustrating when it happens to you. In the meantime, we intend to make things right by you and regret that you had to wait from Friday to Monday to know for sure that would be the case. That's simply a training issue we are addressing. Always use Bring fido to look for lodging when traveling with our pets. However, when looking at Gatlinburg, TN, a nice place on Bring Fido showed "NO pet fee; 2+ pets" and no reference that there was a weight restriction. When booking, I finally read the "Rental agreement" and it says "$75 per pet pet fee, 40lb weight limit" and you must register your pets beforehand or they can kick you out at anytime without refunds.... Contacted VRBO for misleading information and they said its all Bring Fido fault and they have nothing to do with it (they did advertise property as "Pet friendly"???? Not very friendly to me....Pet fees for multiple pets would be more than the cost for human accommodations!)... If Bring Fido is going to list VRBO lodging, they need to be sure information on Bring Fido site is accurate or have a guarantee they will fix any issues they advertise and then the owner disavows.

In looking into your situation, it appears that the property you were booking does not actually list the details of their pet policy in their property listing. They can only be found within the rental agreement once a booking has a been initiated, and therefore is not information that our website is able to pull into our own database. As you found, the restrictions are not listed anywhere within their policy section, which is very rare. We take pride in the accuracy of our pet friendly data, and regret that you had this experience. Because you ultimately found this information through the rental agreement and submitted it to us, we've made the correction on our website and we thank you for bringing it to our attention.
