Once I discontinued sessions
Once I discontinued sessions, I started getting billed for previous sessions that was already paid for. I contacted my insurance company and made them aware of the situation. My next step is to file a complaint with the Better Business Buero. IN REPLY TO BRIGHTSIDE'S REPLY... I had a co-pay that WAS PAID after each session. It was paid IN FULL AFTER EVERY SESSION. I have every email bill and can provide proof of double payment charges. AFTER I declined their services I got billed for sessions that was ALREADY PAID. If you're charging "weeks after" as stated in your rebuttal, then you NEED A BETTER system. People work hard for their money.. *NICE TRY Brightside with your "rebuttal". You got caught. In my opinion, Brightside is NOT THE MOST PROFESSIONAL. But just don't take my word, and look for yourself at the 33% of ~445 reviews, that state all of the billing issues, among MANY other complaints...
Response from Brightside HealthDec 11, 2024
Thank you for this feedback. Brightside Health submits claims on a member’s behalf to their insurance provider, and they are charged for their portion of the cost share using the payment method on file once those claims have been processed by the insurance provider. We collect a co-pay initially and collect the remaining amount after the claim process if there are any discrepancies. This can be several weeks after a claim is submitted to an insurance plan, including after a member’s account is no longer active. Based on a member’s specific insurance coverage, there may be a copay, a deductible, or coinsurance applied. We hope this helps clarify. Please contact us at [email protected] if you’d like to discuss further.
