They charge you like $150 just for missing an appointment. How is that encouraging people to get help ? Greedy, selfish company that doesn't actually care about the mentally ill. They will pester you everyday to fill out useless "checkins" and constantly email you. It's annoying especially when you literally are already doing the work. Increased my anxiety even trying to use this place. Website and app were also very confusing for me with limited instructions. Don't waste your time guys.

This place was horrible. They claim they offer a "free" 15 minute consultation. I filled out some paperwork and signed up for the 15 minute phone call. The provider I talked to signed on 4 minutes late and was rude and very unhelpful. The whole time she basically told me should couldn't help me and only suggested taking medication (mood stabilizers) that I had told her before that I didn't want. When I said I didn't want that due to the side effects she again said she couldn't help me and said "well, I'm going to sign off now". I then receive an invoice a few weeks later for $194. I asked what this was about as I only did the free consultation. They told me that referred to the evaluation paperwork I filled out and not the 15 minute phone call. So you're offering me free paperwork??? What? They do not make that clear at all, the psychiatrist signed on 4 minutes late, so they basically deceivingly charged me $194 for 11 minutes of an unhelpful talk. Don't waist your time with these people. For saying they help with anxiety and depression they sure increased mine a lot.

Not charge customers an outrageous amount for missing an appointment when the insurance company pays the bulk of the cost. It makes people quit therapy altogether. At least it did for me. I will never use the Brightside Health EVER again. Enjoy my one time $70 charge, instead of my once a week $15 copay, PLUS whatever you charge my insurance company. So short sided. The CEO is a moron. I can hear “whitey” now “let’s fleece them if they miss their appointment, so it doesn’t happen again! We will get our money either way!”

I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. I signed up for therapy and psychiatry and the first therapist I met was completely underprepared and seemed unsure of what questions to ask or how to move forward. I rescheduled with a new therapist who immediately told me she was taking maternity leave soon and then went ahead and discharged me from the entire program with no reason. I received an email from Brightside stating that I could look on psychology.com to find a provider and then they closed my account. I don't think I have ever been treated so poorly by a healthcare provider in my life.

My experience wasn’t great. I told my therapist I needed a med that wouldn’t affect my sex drive bc that’s something I’m already struggling with. I also told him I can’t have any med that will give me the “vivid dreams” because mine turn into nightmares. The medicine he prescribed me did both. I understand that there’s always a chance to have reactions to medicine. I’m not new to this. I’m 38 and have been on a medicinal journey on and off since I was 15. He has poor judgement and lack of proper education to be able to have this job and prescribe meds.

Billing was a mess and there were no support. Causing me more emotional distress than the amount they solved.
