The Dr’a and service is great
The Dr’a and service is great, very convenient. My only issue has to do with billing, I thought I only had to pay $30 per session, but it’s $60 per session due to insurance coverage

Haven't decided yet. Hard to get used to meeting online.

My therapist is great. She actively listens while I talk and offers constructive feedback. She's always covered with what I need and how she can help me achieve my goals. I've only ever had one negative experience with the billing but it was resolved within a week to my satisfaction. The only major issue I've encountered has been technical - dropped calls, frozen screens, bad connections.

I can’t really fault the Brightside experience. It’s simple, straightforward and communication is pitched at just the right level. I signed up for just psychiatric care and it’s been transformative for me in terms of getting effective medication. However, there’s no scope for significant discussion with the provider in the limited (15 minutes) sessions. When I suggested I might have ADHD, I was told I would need a proper diagnosis elsewhere. So, if you need to see a psychiatrist, bear in mind that they seem to be there purely or mostly for prescribing.

My therapist Susan has been supportive and the meds nurse practitioner has understood my fears

I think it’s a great service. However, the scheduling feature needs improvement. The inability to choose an appt time more than 2 weeks out is bothersome.

You are assessable. You respect a persons privacy. Maybe that’s good and not so good. Unless I share my experience with another person then no one would know. I like that. I don’t like being given a therapist I don’t gel with and that’s a negative. I love my nurse though. She seems dedicated to her cause and like she herself said thinks out of the box. I will recommend you to anyone looking for mental health services.

My therapist, Georgia, has been very kind and supportive throughout my sessions. I found lessons 1 and 2 to be of much help in lowering my anxiety and confusion. I am not a journalist and I found the 'homework' adding to my feelings of being overwhelmed and stressed. I wish I had understood from the beginning that the lessons were to help but not a requirement of the therapy process. Since learning this my therapy sessions have become much more important and of genuine assistance in sorting through my issues. I'm am sure that the lessons do help the majority of people but it just wasn't so in my case. I realized I was seeking to win the approval of my therapist rather than actually doing the lessons for myself. Thank goodness, Georgia kept checking in with me and assured me that we could continue without the lessons. I'm grateful to her and this service. It has been a life saver.
