I searched and searched for a box set of Manga books for my daughter for Christmas. When I saw it was in stock at Books a Million I was elated! I immediately ordered it. A few days later I received an email stating shipping was Delayed by one week. That was over a month ago. I’ve emailed Customer service Multiple times without response. I’m so frustrated. The only reason I bought the set from book a million in the first place was because their website showed it was “in stock”. Now it’s too late to order it anywhere else to arrive before Christmas. I just wish they would respond to my MANY emails for help.

"In-Stock" item still not shipped over a month later
I ordered a book marked as "in-stock" at the beginning of November and as of over a month later it still has not shipped. The customer service representative I chatted with said it would arrive before Christmas, and that there is no way to speed up shipping. Very disappointed in this company; spend your money elsewhere.

This is a huge scam company
This is a huge scam company! They will not allow you to cancel/delete/ unsubscribe your membership or card information. There are pop ups stating.."An error occured" to each way they say to cancel/delete/ unsubscribe. I have had to go to my bank in person to stop any payments from them..took screenshots of all blocked areas, called customer service, who conveniently dropped the call, and sent a message to customer service! WOW! Worst "business" ever. I am contacting the BBB and will report this as a Scam company!! After reading the reviews...I am only more convinced they need to be reported! Stay away from this business!

Worst customer experience I Ever had.
I ordered 5 books and was charged for 5. But 2 never arrived. No tracking info was provided. I contacted customer support 5 times and got no response. Worst on-line buying experience I ever had.

I won't use them again
I ordered a book as a Christmas present. I paid through PayPal. Within hours after accepting my order, I got an email from Books-a-million telling me my book was on backorder and could take as long as 4 weeks before it would be shipped. I tried to cancel my Books-a-million order through email and through their website, but their website refuses to cancel the order because it is marked as "pending." I got no response to my email. Why did the book show as available on their website if they have to backorder it, and why don't they give me an option to cancel the order if the 4 week delay is unacceptable? If the book is 4 weeks away from shipping, it seems like an easy time to cancel it. Meanwhile, they still have my money held at PayPal, they don't respond to my email and they've, without my request, added me to their spam email list providing an unsubscribe link that takes me to a web page that doesn't allow me to unsubscribe. This is a sketchy organization. If you value your money find another seller.
UPDATE: Having no luck canceling my backordered book order through their website or by email, I tried calling their customer service number. After waiting on hold for 40 minutes, I was finally connected to a customer service rep who was very pleasant and helpful and canceled my order. I checked my Paypal account, and they released their hold on my money. Then, two weeks after requesting to cancel my order by email, I finally got an email response from them that told me it looked like my order was canceled another way. I told them it was but asked that they please take me off their email lists (I was getting 6-10 spammy emails from them per day!). They said they would but it might take a few days to do it. Hopefully, that will work out. They do seem to want to treat people right, but they are understaffed and have a really aggravating website. I doubt I'll ever do business with them again.

If you expect customer service shop elsewhere
I ordered 2 books for Christmas on Dec 1st.
One was shipped, but the tracking info given by BAM did not work. I emailed on Dec 7th there was no response, I called on Dec 11th. They were not in least apologetic not responding, not letting me know that one book was not available until today...but on the spot for me returning the book that will not make it before Christmas, since they were going to issue a refund. We will see how that goes, find somewhere else to buy books, these folks don't care about your business.

I ordered some books that I couldn't…
I ordered some books that I couldn't find elsewhere and received an email that they were on their way with a bogus tracking number. I have not gotten a response. I am feeling very concerned after reading these reviews. I will be contacting my charge card and will not be paying for these books. Meanwhile they are filling my inbox with emails asking me to give them more service!

I made a $170+ purchase for their Buy 2…
I made a $170+ purchase for their Buy 2 get 1 Manga sale. They ship it out into 4-5 boxes. I recieved my first shipment today and it states that there were 7 books in the box but only one was inside. I am reading that this happens to a lot and I don't think that they will send me the other 6 boxes that were supposed to be in the box. Kind of mad because I spent so much money on a company that has a bajillion bad reviews. I should've done my research. Also sad thing is that some of the books that didn't come in were Christmas presents.
