They charge you double the price if you come into the store, go to the aisle pick up the book you want and go to the register and pay for it then if you ordered it online and stop by the store and pick it up. This is absolutely ridiculous and makes no sense. No one in the store is willing to help. I will never ever shop at Books A Million again and I hope they go out of business.

I ordered a backordered book and moved months later while waiting for it to fulfill. I emailed Customer Service requesting to update my shipping address or cancel the order. They completely ignored my email and sent a canned response. When I called, the phone representative blamed me for not updating my address "within 30 minutes of ordering" (months before I moved) and falsely claimed they were waiting for me to cancel, even though their email gave no option to do so. Unhelpful, robotic service and gaslighting representatives. Buy your books elsewhere.

The company is so pushy about the membership club that it ruins the experience. I've had associates continue to ask about if I'd like to join even after I've already said no. Last time I went the sales representative was so pushy that I felt uncomfortable. I know they probably earn bonuses based on working at a place that offers membership, but it's not acceptable to hound customers. Other places offer books at significantly cheaper prices, and I don't even need a membership for them. You really have to watch the sketchy magazine "offer". They only do it when you pay with card so they can randomly charge you.

Not sure how this company hasn't been overtake by another willing to put she smallest amount of effort into customer service. The point of pre-order is to have the book as soon as possible, not pay more than it coast on AMAZON and get is later that I would have if I have went with Amazon. Clear case of a company getting to big to care about the people that shop with them. Trash!

I ordered a backpack that stated that it was in stock to be picked up, put my order in got the confirmation email and that it was good for pick up, while we drove to the store to Beverly hills for the order we get there go to the register a man was working there who opened a cabinet to receive the item when a manger came up quickly shutting the cabinets quickly saying those are other orders and that they no longer have my order there and canceled it. Just now at 5pm I go on their website and shows that they have one in stock again. I called and again said no they do not, they really need to update their website

My third book in six months arrived damaged in shipping. I’m tired of only a 20% discount for this damage and inconvenience, so I requested a 50% discount (equivalent to what they will lose sending it to bargains). They refused. I told them they will lose a 25 year customer for $3 over this, and that’s the choice they made - to refund my membership fee over refunding an additional $3. Bye BAM!

This Novella is written by 3 generations of the Brunstetter family about 3 generations of a family that experience the beloved Christmas quilt.Quilt. The Christmas Quilt brings loss, love, faith, and romance to the 3 generations. I enjoyed reading "The Beloved Christmas Quilt." The quilt has the Bible verse Psalm 31:3 "For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me'" embroidered on one of the corners. A heartwarming story that flows from mother to daughter to granddaughter. The three authors did a great job combining the novella together bringing hope to the generations. Luella Ebersol (Zook) takes care of a close friend and her son. Before Dena passes, she gives Luella her Christmas quilt and makes her promise to pass it down to a future daughter. Luella and Atlee Zook end up falling in love and marrying. Karen Zook (Allgyer) misses the closeness they had living close to family. She has a hard time adjusting to their new town. Karen goes to the quilt and wraps up in it when she has trying days. Always reading the Bible verse embroidered on the Christmas quilt which gives her strength and faith to keep going. Roseanna Allgyer (Beiler), daughter of Karen and granddaughter of Luella is the third generation that novella #3 is about. The unexpected occurs on her wedding day. When her mother wants to give her the Christmas quilt, she does not want it. After ups and downs happen in her life, she meets up with an old boyfriend. Roseanna is afraid of being hurt again. The young man who left her standing alone at their wedding returns to visit her. After more ups and downs, Roseanna has some decisions to make about her future. She ends up going back to John and they are married. Karen gives her daughter the Christmas quilt on her first Christmas being married. I recommend this great novella to anyone who enjoys reading about the Amish.

Horrible experience with customer service. They talk over you, respond with saying that I said things that I did NOT say, they give out advice that if you have a brain in your head you know is wrong! They are of no help and I will never order from here again. I was looking forward to a new option to order books from but this is not the place!!!
