I received most of the boxes on time, so no complaints there. One of them did arrive a lot later than expected, but within the 6-week deadline. Instead, the problem has been in writing reviews. They seem to want feedback and I provided reviews on some items. I didn't like about four of them and wrote about not enjoying the treats. I also wrote about one I did like. Curiously, the negative reviews didn't show up even after the positive one did get posted. My intention wasn't to make anyone look bad, but I honestly reviewed the items without being too harsh. Looks like Bokksu doesn't like having any 1-star reviews.

My comment and review here relates to the "gift box" option and not as a subscription. The product is advertised as a gift box but is really presented as a subscription sample - a real shame as the contents look great and would have otherwise made a really good gift. Unfortunately, the box received could not be presented as a gift as intended because the dispatch note came attached to the gift box in a plastic envelope, which was itself glued to the box all over. Attempts to remove the envelope left the gift box damaged, torn and sticky. The leaflets inside also welcome the recipient as a new subscriber, despite the product being sold as a one off item. Whilst it sounds like the model works well as a subscription service, I feel the gift box has been mis-represented by their website.

Very nice if you get them delivered! I subscribed for a 3 month option around 4 months ago and only received 1 box. I enjoyed the products, packaging, information leaflet, very tastefully made and I wouldn't hesitate to continue however, my packages are lost. Even though Bokksu gives replacement boxes I am not sure if they will ever reach me. I find it weird there is no shipment tracking system even cheaper subscription boxes have this.

Bokksu is a great subscription box, It features a lot more special/artisan snacks from all over Japan, they provide a lot of information about each product as well. You can tell that the creator/staff care a lot about Bokksu and their customers

We signed up for a monthly subscription this summer and have enjoyed every box we've received, which includes 3 monthly boxes as well as other purchases we've made at Bokksu Market. The boxes arrive in great condition (they're contained inside a larger box), they're thoughtfully packaged, and they come with a detailed and helpful description of the treats that are in the box - it shows pictures of the treats and lists the name, where it comes from, and how it ties with the theme of the month. The snacks are great - usually very subtle but with enough of a nice flavor or texture that makes them a joy to eat.

Really enjoyed this subscription box, it's a bit different to most of the japanese snackboxes around and I really liked that you got a tea with it. I got the basic subscription and for me, it was a lot of snacks. Danny, the founder, was really nice when I emailed him too. The rewards scheme made a lot of sense, but I never used it. I cancelled my subscription unrelated to the actual quality or price of the subscription in attempt to cut costs, plus it was a lot for me to eat in just a month.

Great concept! Brilliant customer service and excellent value for the money. We look forward to receiving every single Bokksu that takes us on a little trip back to Japan. Can warmly recommend!

We have received 3 Bokksu boxes and have loved them all. The descriptions make it all the more enjoyable as we know where each treat comes from and why it was created. There is a great selection and they are all delicious. looking forward to the next one arriving soon.
