Warning! They sell defective cars that they can’t repair in a reasonable amount of time (3 months on a brand new car). Then they have the audacity to try and sell you a replacement for many thousands more and remain silent throughout the process. Criminals. @bmwna @bmwusa @bmw

Inept customer service
Inept customer service. They don't know anything about their bikes. A sniveling bunch of brats. My days of BMW ownership are o.v.e.r.

If you are considering purchasing a…
If you are considering purchasing a BMW, the first thing that probably attracted you is the brand. It's considered a luxury line and as such, you would expect a quality vehicle. Wrong. I wish I would have done more research because I would have found that these cars have a horrible reputation for breaking down. Unfortunately, I've learned the hard way. I purchased a BMW a year ago and have only driven it 5000 miles. In that time, a rain storm triggered the alarm at 2am and the sunroof and all 4 windows rolled down due to a bad sensor allowing rain to flood the cabin. A few months later, I'm driving down the highway when the instrument panel goes black. The speedometer, gauges, and all other controls disappeared while I'm doing 50mph. The entire cluster had to be replaced. $6000 under warranty. 2 months later, coming home from the store, drivetrain fault. Power dropped to limp mode and I coasted home. Parked the car. Went to start it. A big red octagon Stop flashes on the screen. "Drivetrain malfunction. Driving not possible. Call roadside assistance." It was also in the shop for a windshield replacement for 3 weeks.
Communication at this dealer is non-existent. They don't set expectations, provide updates, return your calls or provide you with a loaner. Think about that. 5k miles and all this trouble. And the cherry on top; they don't hold their value. I did my research and paid a fair price for the car. ONE YEAR LATER, it had lost $20,000 in value!
Due to my experience, with the car and the dealer, I reached out to BMW of North America to discuss my concerns. They asked if I would like to request they buy it back as a courtesy. I never thought there was such a thing but said, sure. Maybe there's hope for the brand yet. I provided all documentation and they responded from Executive Customer Care. I was impressed. Not so much. They called today and said they were not going to buy it back but they were willing to give me the equivalent of 1 car payment for my trouble. Now, that's class.
BMW used to participate in BBB Auto Line which is an arbitration unit that settles these types of disputes. All the best manufacturers participate including Bentley, Jaguar, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Audi, Cadillac, etc. BMW LEFT THE PROGRAM IN 2024! I wonder why.
Maryland has the Maryland Automotive Warranty Enforcement Act (Lemon Law) which I intend on pursuing due to BMW’s failures. I will also be contacting the Maryland Attorney General's Consumer Protection Bureau, the BBB and pursuing all other avenues of relief available to me. So, if you're buying a BMW to be seen in a BMW and you're fine with it being in the shop more than your driveway, by all means, give these guys a visit. But if you're looking for a quality vehicle, go with another brand. I hear Audis are great!

Rental car service at BMW services centers
I strongly encourage Enterprise, the rental car agency associated with BMW Fort Lauderdale, to stop practices that may result in customers being charged for expensive insurance coverage they do not need or intend to purchase.
Customers should receive clear, upfront, and transparent information about all available insurance options, including the exact cost of each option and what the coverage provides. Customers should also have a clear opportunity to accept or decline each insurance option before any charges are added to the rental agreement.
Customers should never feel that insurance coverage has been added without their informed consent or without a clear understanding of what they are purchasing and how much it will cost. Greater transparency and clear communication would help protect customers and build trust in BMW's services process.

Transaxle issue due to poor info from BMW dealership
Had a flat. Was told by Chattanooga dealership that with run flat tires i could safely drive the AWD 5 series to them for replacement tire. Within a year I noticed unusual gear shifting and went to Huntsville BMW. I was told the transfer case was shot: $7,000 to replace. 3 months out of warranty. BMWUSA refused to waiver costs. Dealership told me that a 1/4 inch diameter could cause the failure. Run flats obviously have a significantly different diameter (a flat tire is a deflated tire). Last Bimmer I would ever own. Dumped it without repair. Drive a Porsche Cayenne now. Very pleased with the Porsche

Weeks of Runaround, No Fix, and No Clear Next Step
have been dealing with a vibration/shaking issue with my 2024 BMW, which has less than 15,000 miles, since June. Over the past several weeks, I have gone through appointments, phone calls, dealership visits, and escalation to BMW Customer Relations, and I still do not have a resolution.
The dealer has had my car for about a week, plus an additional three days, and the issue is still not fixed.
I have been bounced back and forth between BMW Customer Relations and the local dealership with no clear ownership of the problem. BMW finally had an engineer look at the vehicle, only for me to be told that the engineer did not have the proper tools needed to complete the diagnosis or repair.
What is even more frustrating is that BMW still cannot tell me whether there is going to be a fix or what the next steps are.
The craziest part is that BMW seems to think I should simply be okay with continuing to drive the vehicle the way it is. I do not think it is reasonable to expect a customer to accept an unresolved vibration/shaking issue in a 2024 vehicle with less than 15,000 miles, especially after the amount of time the dealer has already had the car and the number of times I have had to escalate this.
I am genuinely saddened and disheartened by this entire experience. More than anything, I feel dismissed. I gave up a great car that I genuinely enjoyed, my Tesla, because I believed I was moving into another premium vehicle and ownership experience with BMW. Instead, I have spent weeks dealing with frustration, uncertainty, repeated escalation, and an unresolved problem.
I truly love cars, and this experience has taken a lot of that joy away from me. Instead of enjoying my BMW, I have been making calls, going back and forth with the dealer and BMW Customer Relations, and trying to get someone to take responsibility and give me a clear answer.
For a company that markets itself as a premium luxury brand, this entire experience has been extremely disappointing. I should not have to fight this hard just to be heard, taken seriously, and given a clear answer about a vehicle I purchased in good faith.
At this point, I have lost confidence in BMW and how they stand behind their vehicles. I would not recommend anyone purchase a BMW based on the experience I have had.
My car is still not fixed, BMW still cannot tell me if there is a solution or what happens next, and somehow I am expected to just accept driving it this way.

BMW Has no fix for a problem that goes back about five years.
I am writing to formally escalate a highly disappointing service experience regarding a persistent, unresolved issue with my BMW X3’s Apple CarPlay system skipping. My vehicle has been brought to a BMW dealership multiple times for this exact defect. The dealership’s service department has been entirely unable to repair the problem. Rather than managing the issue or coordinating a technical solution internally, the dealership instructed me to contact corporate BMW myself to find a resolution.Six weeks have passed, and the issue remains completely unresolved. I was informed that while BMW is aware of this software or hardware glitch, there is no timeline for a fix, a refusal to attempt any part replacements, and no offering of an extended warranty to cover this defective system. To make matters worse, the dealership has now ordered me to return my loaner vehicle so they can return my car to me completely unfixed. As a loyal customer, I expect a luxury brand to stand behind its products and support its network in resolving manufacturing defects. Forcing a customer to drive a defective vehicle while offering zero timeline or corporate accountability is unacceptable.
