You will regret your decision to take your pet to Blue Pearl
This was the worst experience of my life!!! The vet was absolutely incompetent and rude. My dog was in excruciating pain from a slipped disc in her back. They gave her pain meds for a 10 pound dog and
is a 21 pound dog. We couldn't understand why after giving her the meds she felt no pain relief. When we looked at the discharge form we saw the error in the weigbt calculation. We called the vet and asked her to prescribed new medication for the correct weight and she refused. Her name was Margaret Gordon and she is the worst vet I have ever met. Please protect your animals and pick a different pet hospital .

Unreal, Fever Dream Experience
To say that our experience was negative would be putting it lightly. It felt like a fever dream that you couldn't wake up from.
We called our normal vet about our dog's symptoms and they advised they were closing but to call Blue Pearl, send them videos of what was going on and they would advise.
I called Blue Pearl. They said sure, send the videos over and we will take a look. I sent them over and waited an hour, nothing. I called and they confirmed they had received the videos, would review with the doctor and call me shortly to advise. Another hour and a half went by... nothing. I called again. They said well, yes based on what we are seeing and hearing in the video we think it's a good idea to bring him in because what sound is not normal.
We brought him, COVID kept us in our cars... no problem. They said they were going to have him wait in the car with us because they weren't sure if he may have kennel cough or canine influenza but wanted to be sure to keep the other animals safe from possible transmission. Great, no problem.
3.5 HOURS LATER, I stop a tech that was receiving her Uber Eats order from a car that pulled up and very politely asked her if she knew about how long it might be because our pup was getting restless. She scoffed and said he was stable and was on the list to be seen but he was the most stable patient they had and it was probably just kennel cough.
WHAT!?
We watched these people efficiently turn over somewhere between 8-10 animals in the time we sat in our car waiting. They showed up, got triage, brought in, returned to owners and they left.... at least 8-10 times. You mean to tell me ALL of those animals were FAR LESS STABLE than my dog who can barely breathe without hacking so hard he terminally retches!?
I was livid. Called for the operator and she was also flippant about the whole thing. When asked why we were told to bring him if it wasn't urgent she just said "I can't speak to why they told you to bring him".
They didn't give TWO sh*ts that we were sitting there for over 3 hours waiting for him just to be brought in.
The kicker? They really weren't sure what's wrong without myriad of testing and so I told them since it wasn't urgently life threatening, we would take him home and wait to see his primary vet.
No compassion. No empathy. Complete incompetence. Total disregard for their patient and owners. I am angry, sad for my pup and just downright pissed off to be treated this way.
4 1/2 hours in total were spent to have a 16 min conversation with the DVM.
It's unacceptable and downright disrespectful and DANGEROUS to treat patients and animals this way.
Never, EVER again. There are NO excuses for this behavior.

Lack of compassion and humanity
I have been a patient/customer of VSEC for 12 years, until Blue Pearl bought the practice. In December I brought one of my pups to Blue Pearl for a ruptured anal gland at 7pm on a Friday night. Now I know that the ER is a busy place at that time. We drove up, checked in and parked. At 9:30 pm I called to see if we were any closer to being seen as I had watched many animals being taken inside ahead of us(again I understand the triage process-being a nurse myself) I was told it shouldn’t be much more than about 12 hour or so. I walked to the door at 11:30pm and was told by the triage tech the same”it’ll be about 1/2 hour or so”. I had to leave, having not slept in 24 hours myself. I went back at 6:00 am and was the only car in the parking lot. We checked in and waited another 1/2 hour before someone came to get my poor pup. 45 minutes later the vet called and began with “why didn’t you bring her sooner?” I told her of the wait we had a few hours ago and she breezed over that. She told what the treatment plan was and that cost us $300.
My oldest pup has MVD and is treated by cardiology yearly. She has been stable the past 2 visits. I called in February to make her annual cardiology visit. I was given an appointment for April 15th, which is a day my husband is having surgery. I asked for a different date and was given April 29th. I just tried calling to see if there were any appointments sooner as my pup seems to be progressing with her heart disease and will need an echocardiogram to diagnose her. I sat for one hour on hold hoping to talk to someone, after having left a message on Thursday past and have not gotten response. The message on the appointment line warns that response to phone messages can take up to 48 hours.
The compassion and humanity has been removed from this business. The only care is money. Customer service is equivalent to that of Comcast-atrocious. There is little choice in this area for specialty cardiology care, but I am looking for anywhere else.
If you can find any place else do it!!!!!
Update 4/2/21. Blue Pearl returned my phone calls from last Thursday and Sunday today. They wondered what they could do for me. I told them where they could forward all of my pup’s records. Never, ever go there!!!!!!!

I went to the one in langhorne to see about taking cate of a canine , and the vet would not treat my 6 month old puppy unless I signed a paper she would not be bred! Since when do vets dictate who should be bred or not ! I never asked their opinion only to help my puppy! Never again !

BELOVED NONNA - REST IN PEACE SWEET LITTLE PRINCESS
I WOULD NOT TAKE A FLEA OR TAPE WORM TO THESE CLOWNS. THIS IS THE MOST HORRIBLE, UNPROFESSIONAL VETERINARY SERVICE. OUR PRECIOUS LITTLE NONNA ONLY 5 YEARS OLD IS NO LONGER WITH US DUE TO THE UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE OF THIS CIRCUS. LET US EXPLAIN...WE TOOK OUR 5 YEAR OLD, 4.5 TEACUP YORKSHIRE TERRIER TO THIS UNCARING AND MONEY GRUBBING ORGANIZATION. OUR LITTLE NONNA BECAME ILL LATE AT NIGHT AND WE NEEDED MEDICAL TREATMENT FOR HER. WHEN WE ARRIVED THEY TOOK NONNA FROM US TO DO TESTING. WE WAITED IN OUR VEHICLE FOR @2.5 HOURS WAITING FOR RESULTS. LATER WE WERE INFORMED BY ONE OF THE VETS THAT THE RESULTS SHOWED THAT NONNA HAD SOME KIDNEY PROBLEMS. THE VET INFORMED US THAT IT WOULD COST AT LEAST $4000.00 FOR HOSPITAL STAY AND CARE. AT THIS POINT THEY WANTED FULL PAYMENT BEFORE THEY WOULD TAKE CARE OF NONNA. THE VET SAID IF WE COULD NOT AFFORD PAYMENT WE SHOULD HAVE NONNA PUT TO SLEEP. WE WERE TOTALLY SHOCKED BY HER UNCARING AND UNSYMPATHETIC COMMENT. FIRST OF ALL, WE WOULD NEVER THINK OF PUTTING OUR PRECIOUS LITTLE NONNA TO SLEEP. IF IT COST US A MILLION DOLLARS TO KEEP HER ALIVE WE SURELY WOULD DO IT. THIS WAS A HUGE MISTAKE LEAVING OUR LITTLE BELOVED NONNA WITH THESE HORRIBLE SO CALLED PROFESSIONAL PEOPLE. FOR 5 DAYS OUR LITTLE NONNA REMAINED IN A CAGE WITH WHO KNOWS WHAT MEDICAL CARE WAS GIVEN TO HER. DURING HER STAY WE CALLED NUMEROUS TIME TO FIND OUT HOW SHE WAS. WE WERE PUT ON HOLD AND DISCONNECTED SO MANY TIMES. THIS BECAME THE NORM AND WE BECAME SO UPSET AND FRUSTRATED. SOME TIMES WE WERE TOLD THAT A VET WOULD CALL US BACK IN A FEW MINUTES BUT NEVER DID. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET DON'T TAKE THEM TO THIS MONEY GRUBBING NON CARING ORGANIZATION. DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE THAT WE DID. WE NO LONGER HAVE OUR LITTLE BELOVED PRINCESS WITH US. THANK YOU BLUE PEARL FOR NOTHING BUT MENTAL PAIN AND STRESS YOU HAVE CREATED FOR US. THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO BE INSPECTED.

FOLLOW UP CALLS NEVER HAPPENED
HAD TO CALL SEVERAL TIMES EVERY DAY
THEY ARE NOT READY FOR COVID, THEY DO NOT HAVE A SENSITIVE COVID PROTOCOL, they just let you wait outside at 20F without much info and they get annoyed at your calls (Covid HAS been going on for 1 year, they should have this together, waiting rooms, heat LAMPS etc)
They should be inspected AND FINED

If I could give 0 stars I would
If I could give 0 stars I would. Worst experience I’ve ever had. Cold hearted and all they wanted was money. $7,000 for an overnight stay. Go to Wilson’s Vetrinary Hospital in Washington. They were so nice and the charge for EVERYTHING (emergency surgery, 3 days boarding, meds, etc.) $1,100. NEVER GO TO BLUE PEARL.

DO NOT GO HERE!!
DO NOT GO HERE!!! After spending over $500 this weekend on a cat, I still have no clue what's wrong and they try to go out of their way to make you feel bad about not having more money for more test. The staff really told me "I just don't want to pay for more tests." This is just wrong to do to anyone under the circumstances of a pandemic and millions out of work and looking at homeless. I have to figure out how to pay rent next month because I gave ALL I had to give to blue pearl veterinarian clinic to see an animal. Still did not tell me what's wrong and literally accused me of just not wanting to pay more money for more test. Avoid this place. They will let your pet die. They care nothing of the animals they treat. They only care about how much money they can get from you.
