I am really surprised with the high volume of negative reviews for Bitwarden especially since it has made me want to open a Trustpilot account to review it especially. I have been using Bitwarden now for 2 to 3 years and while I know my experience is not universal, I have only ever had a positive time using this service. I only use the downloaded apps on Mac, IOS and windows and have never had a technical issue. There are frequent updates that require a restart but it never makes you do these to carry on using the app. It will just update when you next close down the app. Payment is very reasonable and works out to just under $2 a month. I have received a renewal discount this year as well which is nice especially half way through the month when payday is a few weeks away. If you are someone who is security conscious and likes to have a new password for each account then I cannot recommend Bitwarden more.

This extension stopped working all together in the space of a few days last year. Being disabled and with bad vision (worse then before surgeries) I just stopped logging in to sites and lived without online accounts for a few weeks. I kept Email open 24/7. The worst part was the 'technical support'. I got jerked around for a few weeks with a preposterous back/forth -- which was likely meant to get me to just go away. The crash and failure of Bitwarden was SO FAST there just wasn't time to react. I ended up deleting Bitwarden and Firefox's password manager kicked in and did a very good job. Bitwarden has ZERO answer to reCAPTCHAS. ----------------------------------------------------------- Now get this: My Bitwarden was set up by a VA Accessibility Specialist in GA. Worked great for a long time. When it quit working I was helpless. I did without online accounts for several weeks. My inability to fix the problem with phone support led to questions whether I can live on my own successfully. They urged me to go to a group home -- again. I stopped using the Accessibility Specialist and went straight to Bitwarden. The back and forth went on and on and on. It was like dealing with an incompetent 'support' call center in India. I BARELY talked my way out of being screened for a group home, which is good because I don't want them to try as things would get very ugly and physical very quickly...

It’s a good product in and of itself, but it’s poorly marketed because the one-click experience is inadequate, which leads to a rebound effect of disappointment... First of all, it’s a cloud solution; second, it’s much more complicated than expected and therefore confusing until you can actually use it. From that perspective, I’m not aware of any advantages it has over other similar solutions...

The app is way over complicated very confusing to use even though I purchased a one-year membership I deleted the account and canceled the app off my phone immediately stay away from this thing it's no good

Refuses to send a verification mail to my Gmail address. A legit address I have had for more than 20 years.
