This is my second feeder from Birdfy

This is my second feeder from Birdfy. I had had an issue with the perch on my first one, and they remedied my problem very quickly. We’ve had the first one for two years and now added the Birdfy2. The unit is beautifully packaged and comes with everything you need for mounting, whether it’s to a tree, a pole or the side of your house. The instructions were clear and concise, and they follow through with an email explaining how to use it. The camera resolution, especially the night vision on this particular model is really amazing. It also comes with a solar panel, and I could see that the unit was charging during the day, even though it’s a bit cloudy and cold here. The AI option is really quite nice, and it does a pretty good job of identifying the birds about 98% of the time. It did think one of my sparrows was a goldfinch, but I think that’s because it was late in the day and the sun sort of turned the chest of the bird to a yellow, can’t fault it for that. So far, we are extremely happy with this purchase. My grandkids particularly enjoy watching all the birds. I’m looking forward to see who comes up to visit this spring.

Hi Mark! Thank you so much for this wonderful and detailed review! We're thrilled to hear that this is your second Birdfy feeder and that we could quickly resolve the perch issue on your first one. Your loyalty means the world to us! It's fantastic to know that the Birdfy2 exceeded your expectation. From the packaging and mounting options to the crystal-clear night vision and solar charging capabilities. We're especially happy the AI identification is working so well for you at 98%! And don't worry about that sparrow/goldfinch mix-up. You're absolutely right that lighting can sometimes trick even the smartest AI. 😊 We love hearing that your grandkids are enjoying the bird watching experience too! There's something magical about connecting multiple generations through nature. We can't wait for you to see all the wonderful visitors that will come this spring! If you ever need anything or have questions about your feeders, please don't hesitate to reach out through Birdfy Chat, email, or give us a call. We're always here to help! Happy birdwatching! 🐦 Best, Mark

Birdfy Loyalist!!!
My Husband got me Birdfy original feeder when it first came out, a few years back 3 raccoons pulled the pole down and destroyed the feeder. Birdfy replaced it with no problems!!! Just ordered their pole, hummingbird feeder, and bird bath. Birdfy loyalist!!! Can’t wait!!!
Response from BirdfyFeb 3, 2026
Thank you so much Danielle! We are thrilled to have loyal customers like you and so glad we could help with the replacement. Enjoy the new pole hummingbird feeder and bird bath and please reach out via Birdfy Chat email or phone support Phone support is available for US customers. You can add capsaicin powder to deter raccoons or squirrels. Enjoy the rest of the day and happy birdwatching!

Just purchased the Birdfy screen
Just purchased the Birdfy screen. It’s a great addition to my feeder because it prevents larger birds such as pigeons and also squirrels from hogging the feeder. I wish I had this screen when I first bought the feeder it would have saved me a few bucks in seed costs . I do recommend this product.
Response from BirdfyFeb 3, 2026
Thanks so much for your kind words, Warner! We’re glad the screen is helping keep pigeons and other big birds at bay and saving you seed. The best setup against squirrels recommended by most users will always be a pole and baffle. Make sure it is 10 feet away from any tree or platform they can jump from and 4-5 feet above ground. In terms of feeds, use chili flakes or capsaicin powder. They hate the smell of chili. Peppermint works really well too. If you ever need anything, please reach out via Birdfy Chat, email, or phone support. Phone support is available for US customers.

I could not love our Birdfy feeder any…
I could not love our Birdfy feeder any more than I do. It has totally changed the way I see our farm and how I feel about each day. I wake up, excited to see what birds might visit and have learned to identify so many new friends

Birdfy Feeder and Pro Perch
I ordered the Pro Perch. The order was shipped and received promptly. I also ordered the suet ball holder as it was not clear on the website what exactly came with the Pro Perch so it would be helpful to have more details but I really like the perch with additional feeding options. I received the Birdfy feeder with camera and solar panel as a Christmas gift and I am thrilled with it. I now have so many birds coming and it tells me who they are. Wonderful product.
Response from BirdfyFeb 3, 2026
Hi Marsha, thank you for sharing your wonderful experience with the Pro Perch and Birdfy feeder. We are so happy to hear the perch and camera have brought more birds and joy to your yard and that the product is helping you identify your visitors. Thank you for letting us know the suet ball holder and product descriptions could be clearer on the website, we will pass this to our team to improve. If you ever need anything our Birdfy Chat, email, and phone support are here to help and phone support is available for US customers.

Love the feeder but don't bother with the cage
The cage has to be totally removed to fill the feeder which is not sustainable when you have to do it daily.
Response from BirdfyFeb 1, 2026
Hi Diane, Thank you for your feedback and for bringing this to our attention. I’m sorry that removing the cage to refill the feeder has been inconvenient. We designed the feeder to be secure and bird-friendly, but I understand daily refilling shouldn’t be a hassle. We'll forward this feedback to our development team for future improvement, and make sure your feedback will not fail on deaf ears! If you need immediate assistance, please know that our phone and chat team are always available to help. Happy Bird watching! Best, Mark
