I’m four days into replacing my lunches with the chocolate shake. It tastes like most other chalky protein shakes (ie: not very appealing). But the bigger issue is that it is causing a decent bit of GI distress. I am getting heartburn about an hour after drinking the shake, and am gassy/bloated for the rest of the day to the point of discomfort. I will keep trying till the full pack runs out. But probably won’t buy more.

customer service informed me that not only can the package not be opened, but that it can only be returned to the Germany facility, so if you live in the U.S., the postage will cost more than the product. This is a scam! I researched and found out that it would cost me $60 to send it to Germany. I researched this product for a while, read reviews and looked up ingredients and finally made a purchase. I received my order timely and I made my first shake today...It is horrible! I don't understand how anyone could drink this stuff, its chalky and it has an overly sweet gross flavor, I can't even imagine how they deem this to taste good. I bought the vanilla caramel so I could either add cocoa to make it chocolate or coffee granules or both. So, I have requested to return the unopened bag as well as the other 14 packets(comes in a bag containing 15 packets and I purchased two bags) however, in reading deeper into the return policy it states they will only take back unopened packs in the original shipping box. So beware, this product is so disgusting flavor wise and once you open it you are stuck with it, not a great policy for a company that claims customer satisfaction is a high priority. I absolutely do NOT recommend this product. After reaching out to the company, they have acknowledged my disappointment and frustration, and have provided a full refund to me. I greatly appreciate the extra work that this company put forth to make a satisfactory resolution to this problem.

Literally cannot even force myself to drink this sludge. Very chalky and terrible aftertaste that I cannot put my finger on. Leads me to believe all previous online reviews were paid for. $55 down the drain. Like previous reviewer (Susan), same experience. Did all preliminary research. Please save yourself the money- this meal replacer is disgusting.

Update(2) After posting my honest review, Biome reached out to me and offered a refund of the unopened package without making me return it. They also explained again that because this is a food product, even if the individual packets aren’t open but the main package is opened they can not accept it for return, which makes sense. I found the texture to be very gritty (and thats after blending it in a Ninja) it has an overly sweet flavor. So beware, once you open it you are stuck with it. It would be nice if they could come out with a “sample” size portion for purchase so that you could try it out before diving into a more expensive version but I am assuming the shipping cost would not make that economical.
