I have to use this to pay my rent, and now they are charging me extra for a program called Credit Boost. This feature is turned off on my account, and their website says that even if it is turned on, there is no additional charge.

In July 2025, after one month of Bilt’s rent pay service, I decided to end the relationship and close my account, because my landlord has a free rent pay service I can trust. Nevertheless, I wasn’t aware that Bilt continued to withdraw funds from my Chase checking account at the same time I was trying to pay rent (resulting in two payments). It took over a week to clear up the matter; (wait for the refund to re-deposit); meanwhile rent was late and I was charged a late payment fee. It’s now August 2026 and while looking over my Chase account I discovered that Bilt has been scheduled to withdraw funds again. I caught it just in time to cancel it. However, pending transaction was listed as coming from Column/Bilt. I will continue to keep close watch on my Chase account for any unauthorized transactions.

Incredibly frustrating if not nonexistent customer service. They rely entirely on chat bots which is alarming for a “premium” credit card company. I had a charge issue and an issue receiving my card both of which have not yet been resolved on day two of calling emailing and chatting with Bilt. If I had not already paid the $495 annual fee I would not be doing business with them.

Bilt Hotel Booking Experience – Extremely Disappointing I am extremely disappointed with my experience booking a hotel through Bilt, especially because this reservation was for my honeymoon. The room pictures posted on the Bilt portal were completely misleading and did not match the room we actually received. I provided pictures as proof and contacted customer service expecting Bilt to take responsibility for the inaccurate information displayed on their platform. Unfortunately, I received zero meaningful customer service, no room change, and no reimbursement. Despite providing evidence and explaining that this was our honeymoon, there was no real effort to resolve the situation or acknowledge the impact of the mistake. What is most frustrating is not only that the information on the portal was incorrect, but that Bilt showed zero accountability when the issue was brought to their attention. A honeymoon is supposed to be a special experience, and this situation turned it into a stressful and disappointing one. I expected much more from Bilt, particularly when booking through their own travel portal. Amex or Chase would fix this mistake asap. I am now canceling my Bilt membership.

Bilt has made the whole process feel much more convenient. I especially like how simple and organized everything is, and the rewards add genuine value to something I already have to pay each month.

Bilt makes it easy to turn regular rent and everyday spending into useful rewards. I really like the overall concept, flexible points, and access to travel and neighborhood benefits. The app is also straightforward once you get familiar with the features.
