Big Home TaxReviews of bighometax.com

Please avoid conducting business with this company, as the products listed for sale may not be available and could potentially be counterfeit. Additionally, the company did not respond to two of my messages, raising concerns about their reliability and customer service.

Activation code is not working. Uninstalling and reinstalling is very time consuming, it appears they should not be asking me to do this (along with trying the same code repeatedly) -- I have asked for another code multiple times and we are going in circles.

Purchased turbotax deluxe in Feb and installation worked fine on the 1st computer. Tried on the 2nd computer today and the license key doesn't work. Spent an hour on phone with turbotax support who were useless accept saying the key was deactivated. Trying to contact Big Home tax via all the means, but no response [Order #11573] (February 19, 2024)... Received the new license from BigHomeTax

Order (#13360) & payment process went smoothly. I printed out the 1040-SR form before eFiling and discovered that the refund info area was filled in with xxxxx's! So I re-entered that page and had trouble with editing that info area. Finally, it offered an "edit" dropdown option and I then was able to eFile 1040-SR successfully as it was accepted quickly. The next day, I proceeded to file State Tax 2023 PIT-1. Unfortunately, I was NOT able to file using this software as it opened up with "joint filing" which I haven't done in over 30 years! Fed form was filed as "Single". Obviously, this software didn't pull info from Fed form! Then, I couldn't find where to edit. The on-line chat feature did not work so no help there. I've used H&R Block software for many years and can't recall these many issues ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I filed using the NM State's FREE filing program on line which was not as familiar/intuitive as HR Block software but it worked. I'm convinced that this download was corrupted one way or another. I'm hoping for your feedback and compensation for these issues.

This company is a scam. Like many of the reviews, I bought it in Nov 2023 and when I tried to log in mid-March 2024, Turbo Tax says the activation code is invalid. Do NOT buy from this company!

Everyone should absolutely believe all the "One Star" Reviews about Big Home Tax. They are not legit and extremely dishonest. With a little research, it is easy to ascertain that they are selling/distributing the same license to many customers. Their Website is also locked to prevent any negative reviews. You buy the product, download, and activate it only to find out the Activation Key has already been used. Then they shame you into wanting a refund. I suspected this was what they were doing. I did buy a product early in the tax season. Downloaded and activated the product on 6 computers to prohibit other buyers from using "my" license. Judging by the recent reviews, and the problems people reported, I am glad I did just that. To date, I was able to file 3 e-files with no issues. I have one more e-file to complete, hope it goes well, but I am prepared to snail mail my return, if necessary. I will never purchase from them again.

Free Federal e-filing for H&R Block does not work. I receive a message : " The activation code you entered for free federal e-filing has reached it's limit". Used activation code?.. Will update this review often until the issue solved. Order number: 10312 AGAIN: I was not able to send even ONE Federal e-filing free and this software supposed to be used 5 times for a FREE fed. e-filing. UPDATE: BigHomeTax tried to contact me through trustpilot. I contacted BigHomeTax directly via contacts at their web site. Update: Another Code received and it worked for both free federal e-filings this time. However, I don't think I'll buy from BigHomeTax again.

They gave me the wrong license code. And then they gave me a different license code for a different version of turbotax - I bought premier, but they gave me deluxe. After more research, it turns out their company is not even based in the US
