BigCommerceReviews of bigcommerce.com

Coming from Shopify and Wix, BigCommerce is terribly dated and just not thought out well. Perhaps it’s a robust platform for users ready to dive into the code but simple things like the footer or newsletter text require coding and also recoding after updates. The more we used it the more we hated it. We would sit in on the “big” announcements baffled at all the dates features being announced and how poorly implemented they are.

I’ve been using BC for 5 years now with my online site managed through an agency highly knowledgable of the platform. We previously used Magento. I have found it very good. To get the best out of it you really need to be quite technical in approach and it can be restrictive however it has to be as you are buying a managed platform. Yes our fees have gone up from £250 up to about £750 now. Why, well our turnover has increased from £500k to £1.4m so that’s obvious. Magento worked out at a similar price however it was much more technical so the agency fees were also very high. BC has been great for us. It handles customers with great speeds but you really need to know what you are doing with it. I wouldn’t say it’s for start ups. I’m surprised at such low score reviews on here but you also need to look at the alternatives before you criticise. We’ve done very nicely out of BC but our agency knows what it’s doing and how to use BC properly.

LOL ALOT OF SHOPIFY MINIONS ON HERE...THEY GIVE BAD REVIEWS BUT WONT NAME THERE SHOPS...LOL WHAT A JOKE....HAHAHA...THERE TRYING THERE HARDEST TO PUT AS MANY BAD REVIEWS AS THEY CAN....

Unbelievable. I highly advise never working with these crooks. Where do I even begin? They slowly steadily increased pricing with no fair warning unless you call less than 24 hours on a weekend (which means billing won't reply) fair warning. The front end of their site did not let us know anything about the price hike. We had been with them for over 8 years. The way we were treated was not good when it came to bigger issues not small things that any support rep could help with which most of the time they did but many times the support reps knew nothing about the pricing tiers???? I highly advise never working with Big commerce unless you want to be treated like a number and get raked over the coals on pricing. We will never work with them ever again.

I'm bigcommerce customer since they start a business. Now facing very serious TAX Calculation issue on the store that affecting our business a lot, we lost almost $10,000.00AUD but they don't care and saying that tier 2 agent need to check and resolve and it takes 24hr to 3days. that means we have to lose another $10,000AUD during that waiting time. I never ever faced this issue before. Big Comm services getting poor and poor.

Bigcommerce have many issue 1. one of the issue is that the system non stop remove info from your product and you only find out when google start rejecting your product and you start receiving emails this is on going issue 2. there customers Suport is useless most of the time they just forward you to the platforms that they don't know how to work with ( go daddy, Facebook etc) and most of the time they want you to do stuff that the common person don't know how to do this is the main reason you use platforms like BigCommerce Shopify etc

So wish I came here first to see all these reviews 😒 Bigcommerce = big pile of you know what Totally not worth it biggest rip off ever Problem after problem and to top it off nothing gets solved Has more bugs then sickness bug

Very Very bad website. I joined since 2009, after 12 years, there is not much improvement on functionality. Yet they have increase the price by so many times. From $60USD to $300USD, not to $750USD when it's not even a physical shop front. It's just a web site host worth $10. They see you have big transaction and charge you heavily. If you just start your business, get it right! DONT use Big Commerce. Not to mention, the web site is rubbish with problems.
