One day the scammers at BigCommerce work up and thought: "Do we have leverage to squeeze our customers"? And sure thing, they DID! So from one day to the next they increased my invoice by 300% (1000$/month) because I am not using their card payment solutions. NEWSFLASH for them - B2B aint using card payment, we do invoicing. So stay away from these scammers. They are enemies of your business and they don't care about you.

If you are about to build your website, DONT CHOOSE BIGCOMMERCE. After being with this company for 12 years, they're now charging small business 1% for offline transactions not even made through the website. This means they get a share out of the GROSS sales you made in your physical store which you add into your bigcommerce sales panel to keep track of sales and inventory. If you are looking for an ecommerce provider dont use Bigcommerce. Legacy stores like mine are held hostage because what can you do? it takes money and time to just switch to a new provider and risk losing all your rankings and SEO you worked hard for, for years. Greedy company. Since m business is in Asia, they base that 1% extra fee on my sales in peso, convert it to USD based on a curency oconversion where I lose money, then charge me again in USD and when I pay the charge, I will have to incure extra charges in my card for paying a foreign, so its not just 1% for me, It ends up costing me more. They just drop this sh*t on your bill without any warning. if they did they made sure you wont see that warning right away making you unable to adjust your retail price. Customer support is just an AI or a person that just replies the same thing over and over again without any empathy. They dont care if youre an old user that signed up years ago when they promised NO ADDITONAL FEES. Not to mention , subscription is not cheap.

I have used them for the past 12 years for my small business. I pay $3800 a year. Now they have started charging me for third-party credit card processing. If you are a small business, I would look elsewhere. They are not small business friendly. I will begin my search for other alternatives.

We operated on BigCommerce for over 15 years. The decision to migrate to Shopify in July 2026 was not made lightly. It was made because the data left no other conclusion. When we pulled our full Stripe payment history the numbers were confronting. Of 3,540 payment attempts processed during our time on the platform, 1,371 did not result in successful capture. That is 38.73 percent of all payment attempts by count and 44.79 percent by total dollar value. The dominant failure status was requires_payment_method. In Stripe this means a customer reached checkout, a payment intent was created, and the transaction was abandoned before completion. This is the precise behaviour generated by a broken shipping integration presenting incorrect or missing shipping quotes at checkout. BigCommerce formally acknowledged the Australia Post shipping integration defect through engineering ticket Shipping-4085 and feature request ticket Shipping-1487 under support Case 08649630. They did not resolve it. In the twelve months before we migrated we raised 28 support cases covering shipping, feeds, theme updates, redirects, analytics, and third party integrations. The consistent outcome was escalation to engineering tickets that were not actioned within commercially reasonable timeframes. The final decision was confirmed when BigCommerce increased our plan fees by 169 percent while still running a V2 catalogue architecture they had been promising to migrate for years. Paying significantly more for a platform that had failed to resolve a core shipping defect for years was not a position we were willing to accept. We migrated to Shopify. The Australia Post integration worked correctly from day one. If you are an Australian merchant on BigCommerce we recommend pulling your Stripe payment data before making any platform decisions. The picture may be worse than you expect.

Been with BigCommerce for 9 years and we have get rid of BigCommerce because the updating products is now impossible because of their use of Cloud Fair. Which causes serious issues when it come to working on the website. Cloud Fair refreshes the screen every minute and it comes completely empty with all the newly edited info gone. Called BigCommerce and their response was they rather keep Cloud Fair INSTEAD of their customers. They have also doubled my rate every month with additional features. DO NOT CHOOSE BigCommerce to host your website. Ultimately it will be a big waste of time and make no money.

The worst customer service Ever! They triple my subscription after 5 years and they dont answer my emails and calls to explain. After 2 weeks of no answear I have migrated my store to Shopify.

Genuinely some of the worst customer service I've experiencedand that's saying a lot. Emails upon emails trying to reach support ignored. Multiple calls to account department ignored. Been paying our bills for years with no issue and then you triple our subscription with no warning. Price changes every couple of months, terrible customer service. Everything needs an addon from the appstore. Please for the love of your peace and well being do not use this platform.

The worst of the worst. Have worked with BC from their first day in business. You can no longer talk with anyone in sales or account services. You can't even email them any longer. They are a money grab. Hosting used to cost about $100 per month, now it is over $700 and they provide less than they ever have. We have been billed twice this month and there is no one to speak with. If just starting out stay away from these people.
