To ensure the internal components remain dry and protected from moisture, the packaging is kept tightly sealed, which may result in a temporary smell when first opened. This is completely normal and not harmful. We usually recommend placing the product in a well-ventilated area, just as you’re doing, for a period of time, and the smell should naturally dissipate.
