Confusing and inconsistent warranty experience
I had a frustrating experience trying to use Belkin’s screen protector warranty. I was told Belkin now enforces “fair treatment for all customers nationwide,” but my experience did not feel consistent. My husband recently received a Belkin replacement screen protector by mail for free, with no shipping fee, after buying his phone through Apple. I bought mine through Verizon and was told I would need to pay $10 shipping for a warranty replacement. I understand that companies have policies, but customer support could not clearly explain why two customers in the same household had different warranty outcomes for what appears to be the same type of product. Instead, I kept getting vague policy language. If Belkin’s warranty differs depending on where the product was purchased, that should be clearly stated upfront. The product may be fine, but the warranty process felt unnecessarily confusing and unfair.
