I canceled my health insurance on Dec 2,2025 as they had increased it by 12%.I received the renewal with the price increase on November 28. I am a senior and my drugs are pretty much covered by th ontario drug plan. For a couple it was going to be $296.90 a month They told me they couldn't stop the automatic withdrawal on Dec 5th, I get that. They told me a refund would be issued as soon as they got the money. I received a letter dated Dec 12 stating the cheque would follow this letter. Its Jan16,2026 and after several calls and them putting an Urgent request in on January 5 I still don't have the cheque. Horrible service. I had canceled my house and auto insurance with them after waiting on line for 1.5 hours in September . They asked me why I was canceling . I said if I had been in an accident I needed quicker phone assistance than that. She said they were having higher than usual call volumes.

I wouldn't even give one star. This company SUCKS! They are misleading. They do mot have your back when collision happens. Fatima is the WORST claims representative-ewww!!! Stay away from this insurance company!!!!!!

Horrible experience. Customer service is absent. They scam you into cheaper rate that they will increase without any notice saying that you signed up for some program. Customer service kinda rude and helpless. Avoid at all cost

I had a flat tire on a snowy January Saturday night in a small town. I called roadside assistance and the response was immediate. Within an hour a tow truck arrived from the nearest location, a kind and helpful man changed my tire and I was on my way home. I'm an elderly woman who was alone, so I felt great relief that the solution to my problem was so easy to access. I highly recommend this service.

First they asked for pictures of the vehicle which I sent. Then they didn't get back to me after I sent them until way later asking for a Quebec Driver's abstract. Then they sent me a letter in the mail saying they would cancel my insurance after I had emailed them said driver's abstract. Then during the holidays they told me I had a week to get an additional driver's abstract from PEI and that I only had a week or my rates would go up. Then when I told them I couldn't get them the abstract in time and to just up my rates they told me the registration had been drawn out too long (because of their inability to communicate) so they were going to just cancel my policy 2 days before my insurance was canceled. Over-all they're a terrible service that lies through their teeth about the things they say, don't communicate effectively and draw out the entire registration process unnecessarily. If I could give a negative rating I would.

Very disappointing experience. I was given a great quote, but once they finalized the insurance, the price jumped by almost $50 per month. After I signed, they called a week later saying I had to activate their auto app or my rate would increase. Despite this, my premium still went up again—ending up nearly $100 more per month than the original quote. Felt misleading and pressured, with constant price changes after commitment. I would not recommend.

The AutoMerit is ridiculously harsh to the short distance braking. It doesn't understand in busy traffic or in the parking lot short distance braking is absolutely necessary to avoid an accident. The AutoMerit is suitable only in very quiet and idle traffic situations.

Absolute nightmare. Avoid Belairdirect at all costs. I was in an accident in mid-October and have been going to physiotherapy for what appears to be whiplash. My truck has been in the shop since the accident, yet Belairdirect has essentially gone silent while they “investigate” the claim. My assigned claims adjuster does not return calls or emails. Customer service is just as unresponsive. Meanwhile, the rental car company is now demanding payment for over two months of rental fees — more than $3,000 — even though Belairdirect originally approved the rental. The entire reason I made a claim was because I was injured and couldn’t afford the repairs out of pocket. I’ve paid my insurance faithfully for years, never missed a payment, and have never had a prior accident. This is exactly the moment insurance is supposed to step up — and they completely failed. Because of Belairdirect’s inaction, I’ve now had to hire a lawyer and will be taking legal action. Do NOT go with Belairdirect. When you actually need them, they will disappear and turn your life into a nightmare.
