Customer service is friendly but that's about all you get! Denied claims for medicines over and over again. You have to jump through hoops like a circus pony to get your meds covered. Was denied med I had been on for over 2 years. Script ran out and had to buy with an online coupon off insurance so I wouldn't get behind too bad. Multiple chats, phone calls and emails later...no answer and more denied claims. My doctor was beyond frustrated. Took 5-7 business days to get a response from anyone at BCBS. My work switched our pharmacy coverage to another company and within 5 min my doctor had approval. BCBS...you charge way too much for this kinda nonsense!

Wow, it took me almost 1 hour just to get through the automated phone system to make a payment on my account. Every single representative that i talked to said i was calling the wrong department and had to transfer me. Every single representative that i talked had an accent so bad, that i could not understand them. Every time i was transferred had to enter all my member information in the automated service. name, phone, DOB, address. The website is just full of bugs that i could not make a payment online. Worst website ever for account information and billing information. I am so frustrated with their automated and customer service that i am seriously changing my medicare medi-gap plan at the end of the year - even if i have to pay a few bucks more. So FRUSTRATED!!!!

Customer service is a joke. No one listens your concerns, they asks questions and still doesn’t answer on your problem. Unclaimed property phone number disconnects you any time you try to be connected…. and that department works from 9-1 pm …. Joke joke joke …. I requested to be transferred by customer service rep to unclaimed property department and after 50 minutes talking to someone I was told that I was connected to the wrong department….. insane service for costs we are paying for!!!!! I wish I could give below zero points

Crooks. Because of them my chronically ill 2 year old doesn’t get meds on time. What disgusting human being denies a 2 year old medicine he needs to live. Insurance companies are absolutely disgusting. Including this one. I don’t know how they look at themselves in the mirror or sleep at night. Shame on you.

I called in close to end of day because I was calling many businesses paying bills after I got off work and there was just dead air. Nobody said hello? I called three times in a row and it was the same. Then the 4th time I called it, I'm sorry our office is now closed! I said you guys suck just riding out the clock not saying anything until its time to clock out. Worst company ever.

BCBS has outsourced their customer service overseas. I had to repeat my email to a non-English speaking representative more than 5-times because of a language barrier. American business has forgotten the Americans that has kept then in business. Disgusting...

This company allowed someone named Miguel from the Health Insurance Marketplace to fraudulently use my husbands, daughter and I information (such as social, DOB and address) to place us on a plan. This was done in May, and I didn't know anything about it until I had a stroke on June 11th and the hospital where I was at told me that BCBS was set as my primary and was not going to pay for the hospital stay or my medicine, let alone nobody the case manager at the hospital contacted for physical therapy services to help me walk (which was over 70 companies in the Houston area) didn't want to deal with BCBS. I had to cancel BCBS through the Health Insurance Marketplace and had to return everything back to Medicaid.
