Their benefits and service get worst by the years. Call them and ask a question and all they do is read to you what you have in front of you. They can not explain anything. They tell you to file a grievance and you never hear back, waiting over a year and half on my last two, They do not care, but all of the health insurance companies are terrible, I gather from talking to neighbors.

There is no such thing is a GOOD health insurance company. I've been on hold with their "escalations" department and this will be the THIRD person I'm talking to. I'm paying $300-$400 A MONTH just for this company to NOT COVER MY PAIN MEDICATION AND LEAVE ME IN PAIN. That's all they're good for. Saying "we don't cover this, it's not on your list" and letting you suffer for DAYS AT A TIME. This isn't a health insurance company it's group of grifters pretending to offer you help so they can take your money and leave you with nothing. Just like any other insurance company.

Its aggravating that they stop paying claims if you don't go into the portal every year and confirm no enrollee has additional insurance. Causes a huge hassle for everyone. They should find a better way to handle this. Call people and ask!

Blue Cross Blue Shield NC - UNC Home is the WORST health insurance plan I've ever had. I'm paying close to $2,000 a month for two people, and it covers absolutely NOTHING. None of my providers or facilities. What a joke! Meanwhile their CEO, Tunde Sotunde, receives over $6 million a year in salary for denying people claims.

Calling Blue Cross Blue Shield a medical insurance company is a profound oxymoron. It is a stinking monopoly that preys upon the Middle Class and working poor. They play an immoral shell game with patients in need of medical care by stressing the need to reach the "deductible " and then when a patient reaches that amount paid for services, the elusive "out of pocket maximum" invariably comes into play. This company makes decisions on rationed care in a manner that makes it obvious that they could care less about the people whose insurance payments keep the company in business. The Hippocratic Oath for them is the Hypocritical Oath, by pretending to care about their patients and then rationing care.

Blue Cross Blue Shield customer service is a joke. They don’t speak English and they don’t know what they are doing. This is so frustrating. How can a big company like this employee people who don’t even speak English and cannot solve any issues? It is ridiculous and the biggest joke ever!
