BBB is a mixed bag experience for me. In some situations, they seems to remain impartial and allow two way communication. In others though, they protect the corporation by lame reasons such as contact info is incomplete or beyond scope of BBB's policy, or by even abrupt closing of the complaint with an excuse that the issues are 'beyond their purview'. BBB's emails contain third-party tracking pixels, thus allowing mass surveillance and invisible privacy breach of all users.

You will spend weeks or months in a back and forth (as I did recently) only to hear that "the issue has been resolved." What this means is that they got the business in question to pay them in order to delete your complaint from their site. It doesn't mean it's been resolved in your favor, or that you can expect any help from them whatsoever. It's basically a shakedown scheme masquerading as a governmental regulation agency. Don't waste any time with them. Skip them completely and try these steps first: 1. Post bad reviews for the business on as many sites as possible (yelp, google, etc) 2. File a complaint with the FTC 3. Find your state's regulatory division and file a complaint with them 4. Post about your experience with the business on social media and forums like reddit Good luck! But avoid the BBB at all costs. They're nothing but internet mobsters. And don't trust their business ratings either. Those have all been paid for.

A joke. We were totally hosed by a big business. I have legitimate proof. I filed with the BBB. They basically arbitrated a discussion for 4 months with zero resolution. The company obviously refused to apologize. All I asked for was an apology…from someone with decision making ability. Thank you Better Business Bureau for catering to the corporate giants and continuing to muffle any wrongdoings. It’s a disgrace

Since moving from Maryland to Florida I have been trying to receive my leftover money, $10,368, from Capitol One without any success. Since July of this year I called many times and even wrote to CEO, Mr. Fairbank, but all I am getting are excuses and new requirements, but no money.

Corrupted untruthful entity. It provides false, unchecked information. Their statement does not provide any proof

Went to big o 2248 w. Bell rd. They were supposed to balance my wheels instead they rotated them not what I wanted I went back they Lied to me They said I signed off on it I did sign Off because I Trusted them And they would not make good on their work even though they're performed the wrong work Just be advised don't go there They are crooks and they lie

The old BBB is one big lie. They cannot help consumers - they do literally nothing. It's nothing more than a directory with reviews. It's a pay to play scam - they will give you a better rating IF you pay them. They are NOT a government agency - yet they try to act like one. The BBB is nothing more than franchises - privately held. Their scam is to feed on business misfortunes(bad reviews and bad ratings) to offer their "Accredited" status by paying a lot of money. The BBB preys on companies that have bad reviews - it's a scam - you want the BBB bad review removed - PAY up!!! It's a shake down and blackmail. Also a good portion of the reviews are fake by competitors - BBB refuses to remove them unless you pay. The world needs to know about this.

Unhelpful in any capacity but an email server. The business did not make it right and the BBB marked my complaint answered.
