My Mom has had her wrist alert bracelet for less than 4 weeks and it has now gone off by itself while she was sleeping 4 times, and because she can't hear at night with her hearing aids off, aid units are sent to wake her in the middle of the night. I have spoken with 2 people at Bay Alarm and they recommend NOT wearing the wrist alert at night, so this system will not work for her. Their solution is for her not to wear the alert at night, which is almost when it's most important.

The devices work well but sometimes, it takes more than a minute to get a reply. The minute could be the difference between life and death. Also, my device failed and I called to get a replacement. First, they told me it was $150. I objected, saying that their device failed, so why should I have to pay? Only then did he check to see if I'd paid for a warranty. Surprise, I didn't have to pay after all. Why didn't he check that first? Then he told me I still have to pay $40 for it for some reason I can't recall. And $15 for shipping. Shipping me a device to replace one that failed. They nickel and dime you until you bleed.
