Bought a battery for riding lawnmower and they did not have correct battery in stock, but had one that would work they said. Yes,it did work, but for a very short period of time, always have to connect battery charger constantly to be able to start riding lawnmower. Finally had,had enough and carried battery back to try and resolve issue, but was told that it only comes with a very short warranty, sorry about your luck, but we screwed you good and there is not a damn thing we will do for you. Stay away from them, crooked as hell,go to someone that is honest and trust worthy.

Batteries Plus complaint to share a warning about…
I wanted to share a warning about Batteries Plus in Pineville regarding their return policy and customer service.
We recently needed a new battery and a tune-up for our generator. The sales clerk at Batteries Plus recommended a specific battery, which we purchased. We took the generator and the battery to a repair shop on Johnson Road. It took the shop 15 days to look at it, at which point they informed us that the battery recommended by the Batteries Plus sale clerk did not fit our generator.
When we attempted to return the unopened battery to Batteries Plus, they refused to issue a refund or accept an exchange. The manager also reviewed the situation and upheld the refusal. They cited two reasons:
1. We were one day past their 14-day return window.
2. They claimed they could not accept a return on a dead battery (though they offered a warranty exchange for another one). (NOTE: The battery had lost its charge while sitting on the shelf)
To make matters worse, the correct battery we actually need is half the price of the one the clerk originally sold us.
Please be sure to double-check any battery before making a purchase from them, as their return policy is very strict and they did not accommodate a mistake made by their own staff and selling us a bad battery. Ask yourself, are they about profit or customer service.

FBI needs to investigate for…
FBI needs to investigate for RACKETEERING, BATTERIESPLUS is a coordinated SCHEME.
On Saturday, July 11, 2026, I went to Batteries Plus to replace a Duracell automotive battery under “Warranty”, approximately one month shy of its three-year warranty expiration. The battery was purchased on August 28, 2023.
This battery was installed in a collectible car that is kept in a climate-controlled garage for the past 3 years, started approximately every two weeks and was not subjected to extreme temperatures or neglect.
What surprised me was that I was told the warranty was void because the battery tested below 10.0 volts. (Which I was never shown). Furthermore, nowhere in the store did I see any disclosure of this requirement, or there is a “Limited” warranty. However, throughout the store, Batteries Plus advertises a "3-Year Warranty," proudly and prominently but again there is no clear indication that it is a limited warranty or that coverage is denied if the battery voltage falls below a certain threshold.
When I questioned this policy and asked to see it in writing, the sales associate searched around the store, called a manager, and eventually told me they couldn't find any “Pamphlet” or written documentation explaining this warranty limitation.
If a condition like a 10.0-volt minimum is required for warranty coverage, customers should be clearly informed before they make a purchase, and this so called “Test” should be done at the front counter in front of the customer. Instead, Batteries Plus practice is to call in few hours after tying to “So Called” recharge the Battery. Again, Batteries Plus stores proudly advertisements simply promote a three-year warranty without explaining what appears to be a significant exclusion. There wasn't even an offer of a prorated replacement or credit. I feel cheated for paying for an overpriced auto battery with 3-year warranty which is never intended to be honored. Total Scam. Where’s Dateline, Channel 12 I-Team Investigators, FBI racketeering team for coordinated schemes.
Consumer, I are being misled and this is very disappointing. My concern isn't just about one battery—it's about whether customers are being given clear and complete information regarding warranty coverage before they buy. I hope Batteries Plus improves its disclosure of warranty terms so future customers know exactly what they're purchasing.

2012 Hyundai Elantra Touring GLS automatic transmission car here.
... Relative bought me a pair of spare keys for my car from some random site ( blanks but had a long slit cut in them already )
My guess is those two keys were already programmed to my/current ignition tumbler ( that's the actual lock type part you put your key into to crank most cars ) because I got lucky...the lady at Batteries Plus Bulbs told me earlier today when she properly cut them that they didn't need to be programmed ( otherwise that would have been an additional 100 bucks plus tax per key...still lower costing than Hyundai dealership on Lakeland Dr aka hwy 25 in Flowood Ms )
Both keys unlock the hatch and my door ( only one key hole in the driver side door on this year make and model of car...odd *shrugs* where most cars have key lock on both driver and passenger front doors ) and crank it every time.
total cost = $ Around 24 bucks. I'm good with that.
GJ Batteries Plus Bulbs. No wiggling around the key needed to plug into the ignition tumbler as well as same for unlocking car and hatch ( unlike the younger fello at Ace Hardware in Pearl ms who made my two copies of my house key )

Very bad warranty program
Was traveling in San Antonio Texas and needed a battery in my Chevy Tahoe. The store at Loop 1604 and Redland was very good at accomodating me and installing a new battery. I got the best AGM battery they had at a cost of $403 with taxes. However my problems began when the new battery would go dead in my vehicle. When I returned to Wisconsin, I went to my nearest Bplus store in Janesville. They said the battery tested fine and said it was an issue with my vehicle. I took my Tahoe into my local Chevy dealer and had it put on diagnostics at a cost of $92. They showed that everything was fine on the vehicle regarding the alternator and charging system etc. They showed on two different testing instruments that the battery had a bad cell. They installed a new GM battery at a cost of $201 plus tax. They did not have an AGM battery available. I needed my vehicle to start reliably. The vehicle has started and performed perfectly since then. I took the defective AGM battery to the Janesville, WI store and requested a refund. They would not refund because they said the battery tested ok. So I submitted a claim to Batteries Plus corporate and really really got the run around on why they could not refund the defective AGM battery. After 3 rejections they finally agreed to reimburse me the $201 I paid for the GM battery. NOT the original purchase price of the DEFECTIVE AGM battery. So I have spent $500 and made two trips to my Chevy dealer and two 45 min. trips to the Bplus store in Janesville. Offering me $201 is an insult. Batteries Plus has a BAD warranty program and does not stand behind their products. Do NOT purchase an auto battery from them!

Purchased a car battery from batteries…
Purchased a car battery from batteries plus, on the phone they said they will install the battery but when I got there and they saw I was driving in Volkswagen they said they don’t do Volkswagen’s. It’s a foreign car. I guess they don’t have a 10 mm wrench. It wasn’t any harder to change than any battery I’ve done a domestic car and I’m 68 years old so I’ve had quite a few cars. I was charged $10 for the core fee, which was refundable what I returned with the old battery. But when I showed up with the old battery, they said it would take five business days to refund a lousy $10. You know it didn’t take five days to charge my debit card when I bought the battery, that they were able to do instantly but to give me back $10 they charge me that day would take them five businessdays. WTF the battery is sitting right in the floor their store. I don’t know why I just couldn’t be refunded by 10 bucks right there and then. but no just another business that tries to make money off of your money by hanging onto it as long as possible that’s one of the worst business practices I’ve seen more and more crappy organizations going to these days. This company is a joke.
