The boots arrived fairly quickly however they do not look like the boots depicted in the pictures. They are cheap looking pleather, the buckles and snaps are cheap ,the color is completely off They are not at all what o was expecting but you get what you pay for so…,

I purchased a pair of shoes from BareRoots. When I finally received the order, they were stuffed in a plastic bag inside a drawstring bag, instead of a shoebox. I removed them and noticed they had an unpleasant odor to them. The quality of the shoes were not as expected and described, and when trying on, they had no support and a poor fit. I reached out to return them, and was told they would have to be shipped to. China at my own expense , and told this could be quite expensive. Or I could receive a 75% credit to purchase another product. I wasn’t interested in purchasing anything else since I was not satisfied with what I purchased. Nowhere does their site lead you to think their products come from China. In fact the website has a Netherlands address, but lists a US address for the company. So I’m stuck with a crappy product that I wasted money on. How do they offer free shipping, but it would cost me a fortune to return?
